Once the clearing was complete, the Players from both squads joined up and swaggered over to the main entrance of the residential area. Just as the Squad Leader was about to signal the others to ready their guns and kick the door open himself, Joker stopped him.
"We can't go through the front door," Joker said. "Unless they're idiots, they'll definitely have guns trained on it from the other side. They might even have planted a pile of bombs, just waiting for you to open it. Once that door opens, we won't stand a chance against Genestealers that came prepared. We'll all be sent back to the Company Commander."
The Squad Leader scratched his head. "But there aren't any windows here either. If we don't use the front door, where the hell are we supposed to go?"
"Feel what this wall's made of." Joker gestured for the Squad Leader to touch the wall beside them. "I don't know much about Warhammer materials science, but I can still tell good from bad. You can tell just by looking and touching that this wall was slapped together. It's definitely not as blast-resistant as the plassteel used for the main structure of a hive city."
