Lavish, frenzied music echoed through the empty luxury bar, creating an absurd contrast with the deathly silence outside. The three sat on barstools, savoring fine wine that had been sealed away for who knew how many centuries, its amber liquid refracting hazy light within crystal glasses.

Just then, a heavy, dragging set of footsteps suddenly came from deep within the back room of the bar.

It did not sound like human footsteps. It sounded more like some slick, heavy object rhythmically pounding against the floor. Even the wine in their glasses rippled faintly from the vibrations.

Smack!

Almost at the same instant, the three slammed their wineglasses onto the counter and gripped the Lasguns propped against it.

Sure enough, a deafening blast rang out the next second!

The wall of precious wood between the back room and the bar seemed to have been struck head-on by an invisible Siege Hammer, collapsing in an instant! Countless splinters, dust, and chunks of wall formed a gray shockwave that swept toward the three of them.
