Ch. 482Confirmed as Hazardous Waste Requiring Containment

Lu Yao summoned Slaimod to guard the room while Halo explained how a trash can containing Red Dragon Cataro’s remains had pursued him. When the Mimic Burial Box appeared and Lu Yao used the True Sight Curse, he learned it was tracking Halo as hazardous waste for containment and degradation.

  • Lu Yao summoned Slaimod, who sent out Gezhi avatars to establish defenses and keep watch around the residential complex.
  • Halo recounted finding a trash can beneath a glacier on Mount Gongga that carried Red Dragon Cataro’s aura and then followed him wherever he went.
  • Halo said the trash can had opened to reveal black sludge containing Cataro’s aura, and it attacked after Halo taunted it.
  • The Mimic Burial Box appeared in the living room and tracked Halo as he moved.
  • Lu Yao used the True Sight Curse and identified the trash can as Mimic Burial Box Type II, which contained several buried objects and was designed to collect and degrade hazardous waste.

Ch. 483No, This Isn't What I Imagined

Lu Yao learned that the green trash can was Mimic Burial Box No. 217, a Wasteland object containing the remnants of Halo’s old enemy, the Red Dragon Catallo. Halo insisted on fighting it one last time, but after the trash can overwhelmed him, Lu Yao’s Apostles subdued it, leaving Halo to face how far reality had fallen from his grand expectations.

  • Lu Yao searched the committee database and learned that Mimic Burial Boxes were Wasteland trash containers that could classify people as garbage and attack them.
  • The Burial Box attacked Halo with blue-white electricity, then vanished, while Halo explained that he wanted to settle his thousand-year-old conflict with Catallo.
  • Lu Yao warned Halo that the box was only partly made up of the Red Dragon and could endanger ordinary people, but agreed to let Halo fight it once more.
  • Four hours later, Halo fought the Burial Box in Lu Yao’s living room, barking loudly enough to bring an angry neighbor to the door.
  • Lu Yao signaled Isabelle and Slaimod to subdue the Burial Box, and a scorched Halo lamented that the battle was nothing like he had imagined.

Ch. 484You think it's cheap, I think it's expensive

Lu Yao captured Mimic Burial Box No. 217 and tested its contents in a lifeless Grit World, where Jimmy retrieved valuable fragments and dangerous Wasteland Trash. After seeing the pollution spread across the world, Lu Yao considered turning the corrupted world into ammunition for his Grit Cannon.

  • Isabelle and Slaimod weakened Mimic Burial Box No. 217 until Lu Yao could place it in the Simulator and send it to Four Directions City in the Abyss.
  • Lu Yao learned that Burial Boxes contained fragments of Mythological Wonders and high-level items, while their Wasteland Trash was a lethal pollutant that could assimilate matter and distort Rule Power.
  • Lu Yao sent Jimmy into a micro Grit World to use its Fire-Stealing Hand on No. 217, and Jimmy retrieved Red Dragon remains, Yeti remains, and other materials.
  • Jimmy extracted black sludge from the box, but it harmed him and began turning the Grit World's land into polluted sludge and Black Mist.
  • Lu Yao withdrew Jimmy and Slaimod after the world began to be corrupted, then considered using the polluted Grit World as ammunition for his Grit Cannon.

Ch. 485Red Tea Society and Wasteland Bomb

Lu Yao recruited Halo to the Red Tea Society and developed Wasteland Bombs from contaminated Grit Worlds. Song Shiyi then asked for help finding Wei Yingxue, who had vanished while investigating a Wish Seed smuggling gang.

  • Lu Yao offered Halo a position, but Halo refused and chose to return to the Red Tea Society after swallowing Catallo's remains.
  • Halo explained the Red Tea Society's role in attending official meetings and left Lu Yao a canine tooth so he could summon him.
  • Lu Yao tested Wasteland Trash on another Grit World, confirmed its rapid contamination, and found that isolating and discarding infected sections could neutralize it.
  • Lu Yao had Snowman and Slaimod create six contaminated worlds to serve as Wasteland Bombs.
  • Song Shiyi told Lu Yao that Wei Yingxue had disappeared near her neighborhood, where the Sky-Chasing Ring sensed her but she could not be found.
  • Song Shiyi said Wei Yingxue had been investigating Gandharva, the leader of a Wish Seed smuggling and breeding gang who might be someone they knew.

Ch. 486One Flower, One World

Song Shiyi and Mary searched for the missing Wei Yingxue and found her trapped inside a flower by City of Gandharva. After they freed Wei Yingxue, Huang Jia exposed and struck City of Gandharva, who had disguised herself as Star Lord Lian Zhen.

  • Song Shiyi met Mary and Huang Jia at Green Island Garden and explained that Wei Yingxue had vanished near the complex the previous night.
  • The Three-Headed Dog tracked Wei Yingxue’s scent to a small white flower on a rooftop, and Song Shiyi used the World-Breaking Hammer to crack it open.
  • Mingzai broke through the flower’s rift, freeing Wei Yingxue, who said City of Gandharva had trapped her in a tiny world made with Sandalwood Yin.
  • Song Shiyi confronted Star Lord Lian Zhen for using Wei Yingxue as bait, but Huang Jia suddenly punched her through the chest.
  • Huang Jia revealed that the apparent Star Lord Lian Zhen was City of Gandharva, then knocked her to the ground as Song Shiyi realized the group had been caught in the enemy’s trap.

Ch. 487I Just Hate Perverts (Extra chapter for Alliance Leader 'Awaited Puppy Li')

Lu Yao helped Song Shiyi search for the missing Wei Yingxue and discovered that Gandharva had trapped them in an illusion. After defeating Gandharva and helping Song Shiyi capture him, Lu Yao left the rest to the committee.

  • Song Shiyi asked Lu Yao to help find Wei Yingxue, who had been missing for less than the twenty-four hours required to formally open a case.
  • Lu Yao followed Halo and the others into a flower's illusory city and realized Gandharva had concealed the real Wei Yingxue inside it.
  • Lu Yao saw through Gandharva's disguise and relentlessly beat him while the others remained caught in the fragrance illusion.
  • Gandharva ended the illusion, returning Lu Yao and the others to the rooftop, where Wei Yingxue was safe.
  • Halo tracked Gandharva to a nearby street, and Song Shiyi restrained him with Immortal Binding Cuffs.
  • Lu Yao left with Isabelle and Halo, leaving Song Shiyi to handle Gandharva.

Ch. 488Dhritarashtra

Shen Qian explained her past work for Dhritarashtra’s organization and denied leading it, then secretly contacted someone through the wall in the darkness. She identified herself as Gandharva and said Ketu Star Lord had sent a message to Rahu Star Lord.

  • Song Shiyi questioned Shen Qian about her role in the organization and her abduction of Wei Yingxue, and Shen Qian said she had acted out of suspicion and had left the group long ago.
  • Shen Qian described Dhritarashtra, his daughter Manman, the Wish Seeds, and her two years making incense for the organization before quitting.
  • Shen Qian warned Song Shiyi about the dangerous man who had confronted her, but Song Shiyi refused to let her speak with him.
  • After the room went dark, Shen Qian pressed her hand to the wall and spoke to someone in a hidden place, saying Ketu Star Lord had sent a message to Rahu Star Lord.

Ch. 489These Should Clearly Be Celebrated

After helping the committee capture Gandharva, Lu Yao bought the Mythological Wonder Niflheim and placed it in Cloud Temple to supply rare toxins for Gene Activation research. The Yao Tribe developed two popular potions that treated infertility, while Niflheim’s dangers prompted Lu Yao to send Undead to collect its poison.

  • Song Shiyi told Lu Yao that Gandharva was a Wish Seed smuggler who blamed her secretive boss, Dhritarashtra, and confirmed that Void Universe technology could not be applied in the Real Cosmos.
  • Lu Yao bought Niflheim and placed it in Cloud Temple, where its poisonous springs spread across a new ice field.
  • Lu Yao assigned Blood Knight Nevid to guard Niflheim, and Nevid killed two Yao Tribe collectors transformed into berserk giants by the poison.
  • The Temple Society invented Beautiful Potion and Spirit Pill to treat female and male infertility, and both medicines became popular among the Yao Tribe.

Ch. 490Coral Crystal Imaging

Lu Yao learned how the Inexhaustible Spring’s toxin helped create two fertility-aiding potions and watched Zikard report from the Mist Country. Zikard’s search for an interview subject uncovered a Nibelungen baby, leaving Lu Yao concerned about the connections between the child, the spring, and the Mist Country.

  • Lu Yao incorporated Niflheim into the Mythological System and learned that the Temple Society had developed the Beautiful Potion and Spirit Pill using boiled Inexhaustible Spring water.
  • Tyrant explained that the spring’s toxin became weak when boiled and could stabilize emotions and improve fertility, after years of research by the Temple Society.
  • Lu Yao noticed that Zikard, a Field Reporter from Sand City, was exploring the Mist Country and using a Coral Crystal Imaging device invented by White Fortress.
  • Zikard decided to dig beneath the ice for a Nibelungen to interview and searched the area with a Skeleton Dog and pickaxe.
  • Zikard dug beside the Inexhaustible Spring and unearthed a glowing green Nibelungen baby, prompting Lu Yao to search committee records about the Mist Country and Nibelungen.

Ch. 491The Child's Giant

Zikard returned to Mist Country to investigate earthquakes and discovered that Nibelungen children fused into a Frost Giant. After the giant attacked him and the boy he had once rescued, Blood Knight Nevid intervened, and the boy escaped.

  • Zikard remembered how the Resurrection Kingdom had changed and how his work as a reporter had taken him across the world.
  • Zikard found a Nibelungen infant beneath the ice, tried to bury him again, and left him behind at the edge of Mist Country.
  • A month later, Zikard returned to investigate earthquakes, and the boy—now thirteen or fourteen—found and returned his missing tool bag.
  • Nibelungen children emerged from beneath the glacier and fused into a towering Frost Giant, while the boy resisted its summons.
  • Zikard urged the boy to flee and pulled him away from the giant, which shattered Zikard's body and nearly crushed its skull.
  • Blood Knight Nevid struck the Frost Giant with black lightning, ordered it to leave, and allowed the boy to escape.

Ch. 492Take Our Shadow

Zikard helped Bernie, a Nibelungen boy who chose to remain a child rather than fuse into a giant, build a life in Sand City and develop Coral Crystal Imaging. Years later, Bernie returned to the Mist Country, led three children into the outside world, and became a Prophet.

  • Zikard named the frightened Nibelungen boy Bernie and learned that Nibelungen normally fused into giants to grow up, but Bernie chose to stay in his child form.
  • Bernie became Zikard’s assistant, showed talent for Coral Crystal Imaging, and invented an adjustable Ice Element lens to make images clearer.
  • Zikard taught Bernie that sharing knowledge helped the Yao Clan advance, and five years later Bernie worked with Scholars to create the Rotating Lens and portable Correspondent Crystal Imaging.
  • Bernie asked to return to the Mist Country and tell other Nibelungen about the life he had chosen outside.
  • Six years later, Bernie called children from beneath the ice and showed them scenes of Sand City; three children followed him into the outside world.
  • Bernie received an oracle, became a Prophet, and promised to lead the children forward.

Ch. 493Children Cannot Be Eaten

Lu Yao learned how the Mist Country and its Nibelungen inhabitants fit into the damaged World Tree, while Bernie awakened as a Prophet and urged the children to seek life beyond their home. After the Frost Giant asked to leave the Mist Country, Lu Yao agreed to let it go out and see the world.

  • Lu Yao studied the committee records and learned that the Mist Country was a damaged World Tree realm that stored deadly toxins and produced Nibelungen, who could fuse into giants.
  • Lu Yao examined the Frost Giant Baras and understood how the Inexhaustible Spring’s toxins could serve as a force for growth and transformation.
  • Bernie invented a Rotating Lens and Correspondent Crystal Imaging, then urged the Nibelungen children to leave the Mist Country rather than be eaten by giants.
  • The Frost Giant held back from the children because Blood Knight Nevid stood in its way, while Bernie awakened as a Prophet and thanked Lord Yao.
  • Apostle Nivd asked Lu Yao to let the gloomy Frost Giant leave the Mist Country, and Lu Yao agreed.

Ch. 494Nothing Can Stop My Longing for Freedom!

Baras fled the Mist Country to hunt Nibelungen, but the outside world brought him into conflict with Sand City and its laws. After serving detention and community service, he joined the Sand City Mutual Aid Foundation after its members mistook him for the Blood Knight’s disciple.

  • Baras received permission from the Blood Knight to leave the Mist Country and hid in the desert to ambush Nibelungen.
  • Baras attacked a flower vehicle carrying Nibelungen, but its flower cannons wounded him and drove him away.
  • Baras killed shell cockroaches belonging to Sand City's 19th Survey Team and attacked the team members, so Dragonborn inspectors arrested him.
  • Sand City sentenced Baras to fifteen days of detention and thirty days of community service, where he made friends with members of the Yao Tribe.
  • Shaluo invited Baras to join the Sand City Mutual Aid Foundation, believing he was the Blood Knight's disciple, and Baras accepted.

Ch. 495Daydreamer

Baras joined Prince Walnut Vadiye’s Sand City Mutual Aid Foundation, studied medicine and engineering, and invented an Ice-Steam Furnace that transformed life in Sand City. After returning to Mist Country, Baras began building a place for the Nibelungen children and encountered Blood Knight Nevid again.

  • Prince Walnut Vadiye explained the foundation’s mission and asked Baras to help Sand City with its need for ice, but Baras could not produce lasting ice with its powers.
  • Baras worked at the foundation, studied pharmacology and engineering, and became a licensed Physician and an Engineer.
  • Baras developed an Ice-Steam Furnace that continuously produced Ice Element using Omnipotence Stones, and Sand City celebrated the invention after its release.
  • Baras returned to Mist Country, welcomed the Nibelungen children, and entertained them with toys and stories made from ice.
  • Blood Knight Nevid appeared behind Baras, and Baras began building an ice city where the children and visitors could rest.

Ch. 496Elemental Collection Table

Lu Yao saw the Mist Country’s children being integrated into Sand City and watched the region’s ice create water as its environment changed. The Yao Tribe established the Theory of Elements and unlocked the Elemental Collection Table, but Lu Yao ended the chapter concerned about his dwindling Flame of Faith and Dog City’s silence.

  • Slaimod reported that Sand City had introduced an adoption system for Nibelungen children, while Elisa and Dalian had shown talents of their own.
  • The Mist Country’s ice began melting into water, and Lu Yao observed the two worlds’ rules interacting and cooling the surrounding region.
  • Baras invented the Ice-Steam Furnace, while Black Forge developed the Theory of Elements and the Elemental Collection Table, advancing the Yao Tribe’s research.
  • Philes explained how the Ice-Steam Furnace enabled precise elemental control and how the new theory could guide research into the elements.
  • Lu Yao opened the collection table and found that the Yao Tribe had mastered the Fire, Wu, Blood, and Ice Elements.
  • Lu Yao noticed that only 6.41 million Flame of Faith remained and decided to send someone to investigate the quiet Dog City in Resurrection Kingdom.

Ch. 497Gods Faking Death

Lu Yao learned that Kephri’s revival had awakened Dog City’s buried gods and disrupted trade, so he accepted the Sacred Scarab Menes’s offer to pay for military aid. Since Dog City’s restrictions ruled out most of his forces, Lu Yao assembled a small team and sent Haro with them, leaving the outcome of the expedition unresolved.

  • Mao Cao told Lu Yao that Kephri’s connection to the Sun Ship Morning had awakened Dog City’s god corpses, forcing Menes to suspend trade while it fought the monsters.
  • Mao Cao explained that the Resurrection Kingdom could not send soldiers, and Lu Yao learned that Charles offered one hundred million Flames of Faith for Yao Tribe aid, with forty million paid upfront.
  • Lu Yao convened his Apostles and assembled an aid team consisting of the Brain Worm, the Three Sacred Wishes, and Haro.
  • Lu Yao gave Haro a chance to use the Dianke Warrior, but Haro insisted it could handle the dead monsters without it.
  • Haro set off for Dog City with three armored men and Little Panda as the first installment of forty million Flames of Faith appeared in Lu Yao’s reserve.

Ch. 498A Corpse Should Look Like a Corpse

Xiao Zhi and the Yao Tribe reinforcements joined Menes in Dog City to confront the revived dead and the Sun Ship. Halo identified the powerful Resentful Sinner Naef, then brought down Kephri and the Sun Ship, leaving Menes to recognize Halo as the Soul Interrogator.

  • Halo crossed into Dog City in his true Underworld form, and Charles led Xiao Zhi’s group toward the western front.
  • Charles explained that Kephri’s Sun Ship had awakened dead god-monsters who were summoning Apophis, [The Terrifier].
  • Halo examined and ate part of the Resentful Sinner’s corpse, identifying him as Naef, Apophis’s former charioteer.
  • Halo agreed to board the Sun Ship and defeat Kephri while Menes asked him to preserve Kephri’s corpse.
  • Kekhan carried Halo toward the Sun Ship, but the ship knocked Kekhan from the sky before crashing to the ground with Kephri.
  • Halo told Menes to keep Kephri from rising again, and Menes identified Halo as the Soul Interrogator.

Ch. 499From now on, the Whistleblower will be the enemy I hunt.

Halo revealed his identity as a first-generation Cerberus with the Soul Interrogator ability, while Menes paid Xiao Zhi and explained the power’s origins. After Halo discovered the Whistleblower’s Evil Bone Whistle in the Sinner’s corpse, Menes invoked Dog City’s ancient covenant with the City of Wolves, and Upot declared the Whistleblower his enemy.

  • Halo sealed the dying Kephri and helped Menes’s forces search Dog City for awakened divine monsters.
  • Menes paid Xiao Zhi sixty million Flame of Faith, and Xiao Zhi asked him about Halo’s Soul Interrogator ability.
  • Menes explained that the first-generation Cerberus were connected to the Underworld River and could naturally suppress the dead.
  • Halo found a bone whistle inside the resentful Sinner’s corpse, and Menes identified it as the Whistleblower’s Evil Bone Whistle.
  • Menes invoked Dog City’s covenant with the City of Wolves and named the Whistleblower as their enemy.
  • Upot answered the call and vowed to hunt the Whistleblower.

Ch. 500Sun City

Lu Yao learned that Halo had safely resolved the crisis in Dog City and received the Sun Ship Dawn, whose three-ship set could lead to Heliopolis. After Halo left to help the Red Tea Society in Siberia, Lu Yao had Mao Cao test Dawn’s Revival Light in the Resurrection Kingdom.

  • Mao Cao reported that Halo, Brain Worm, and Three Sacred Wishes had returned safely after ending the chaos in Dog City.
  • The Three-Headed Dog presented Lu Yao with Dawn, a Mythical Item whose Revival Light awakened sleeping things and whose full set could reveal Heliopolis.
  • Lu Yao thanked Halo, shared Grilled Cold Noodles with him, and invited him to use his name instead of calling him Mr. Voyager.
  • Halo told Lu Yao that the Curse Clan Sacred Scarab was stabilizing Dog City and that the Wolf God Upot might target the Whistleblower over its covert interference there.
  • Halo said he had to leave for Siberia to help the Red Tea Society, and Lu Yao let him go.
  • The Brain Worm returned its Flame of Faith, raising Lu Yao’s reserve to 106.44 million, and Lu Yao ordered Mao Cao to sail Dawn in the Resurrection Kingdom to test its effect on the Bone Ancestors.

Ch. 501Bone Construction

Mao Cao piloted the Sun Ship, inspiring the Resurrection Kingdom to create the Sun Chasing Festival and drawing a surge of faith and immigrants. As the kingdom absorbed new people and technologies, Kaka and Buji invented Bone Construction, a Bone Frame Vehicle, and a Mobile Fortress, leaving Lu Yao startled by the kingdom’s rapid technological progress.

  • Mao Cao flew the Sun Ship over the Resurrection Kingdom, and Bone Ancestors chased it in a mass morning run.
  • Lu Yao named the new festival the Sun Chasing Festival, which increased the kingdom’s faith and slightly boosted its birth rate.
  • Mao Cao explained that more than 200,000 immigrants had arrived, including goblins and people from other civilizations, attracted by the kingdom’s stability and rewards for skilled work.
  • The Resurrection Kingdom mastered Goblin Mechanics and Goblin Gunpowder Studies as Kaka and Buji invented Bone Construction and a Bone Frame Vehicle.
  • Kaka and Buji built a Mobile Fortress that defeated a pack of Electric Wolves, and the kingdom shared Bone Construction with the Yao Tribe.
  • Lu Yao was asked whether to transform Kaka and Buji into Heroes and wondered if the Resurrection Kingdom had begun industrializing.
