Ch. 622Aberrant Double Fissure

Lu Yao learned that the [Aberrant Double Fissure] was distorting Wasteland No. 7 and restoring fragmented Wish Spirits, but he declined to join the investigation. After deploying more [Civilization Colossus] Colossus Totems, he reached a distant world marked on the [Pathfinder] Star Chart.

  • Lu Yao discovered that his work phone had run out of battery and called Song Shiyi after charging it.
  • Song Shiyi told Lu Yao that the [Whistleblower] had lost his qualifications as a God player and that Jia Xiaokai and Lin Zecheng had lost their related memories and been handed over to the relevant departments.
  • Song Shiyi described the [Aberrant Double Fissure], two pillar-like objects whose movements connected Wasteland No. 7's Grid Worlds and restored fragmented Wish Spirits.
  • Lu Yao recognized the phenomenon as the [Shadow of the Transcendent] and refused Song Shiyi's invitation to investigate, warning her to avoid the rain.
  • Lu Yao deployed another batch of [Civilization Colossus] Colossus Totems and reached the distant world marked in green on the [Pathfinder] Star Chart.

Ch. 623Ripple Body

Lu Yao investigated a crown-shaped cluster of worlds whose Ripple Body confused nearby inhabitants and made them carve matching symbols into the ground. He uncovered the Ripple Valleys sustaining its synchronization, then destroyed the cluster until Sui Zhu and Bi found and subdued the Ripple Body.

  • Marshal of the Long Cavalry warned Lu Yao that nearby worlds moved in synchronization and that the Long Cavalry Army suffered recurring confusion and memory loss.
  • Lu Yao landed on a world with Huang Jia and Isabelle, and Isabelle dug a spire crown symbol while under the Ripple Body's influence.
  • Lu Yao discovered that Ripple Valleys created synchronization channels and that destroying them severed the Ripple Body's connections.
  • Sui Zhu and Bi found a sealed Wind Ring Valley, which Lu Yao identified as the prototype for the artificial Ripple Valleys.
  • Lu Yao fired the Vortex Cannon at the crown-shaped world cluster until only one world remained, and Sui Zhu and Bi subdued the Ripple Body.

Ch. 624Signal Life

After capturing the Ripple Body, Lu Yao learned how it had originated and entrusted its study to Ju and the Stepping Machine. Their simulations revealed a way to use it for cross-world signal transmission, and Lu Yao began planning a network of Ripple Valley base stations.

  • Lu Yao examined the Ripple Body's card and discovered it was an Anomalous Object that spread and synchronized with nearby life-forms.
  • Lu Yao traced the Ripple Body's origin to Wind Ring Valley, where the extinct Nippur People had built a Wonder around the Enlil Totem, and found Xu Xiake's travelogue about the site.
  • Lu Yao asked his Subordinate Gods how to handle the Ripple Body, then assigned it to Ju for analysis after hearing proposals from the others.
  • Ju reported that the upgraded Stepping Machine had identified the Ripple Body's connection to Light and Wind Elements and proposed using crystal structures and the Heart-Binding Nation to send basic commands through it.
  • Lu Yao realized Ripple Valleys could form a cross-world signal network and began planning where to place its base stations.

Ch. 625Mist Harbor Experiment

Guang Yan oversaw the Mist Harbor Stepping Machine and Ripple Body experiments, then discovered that a Mist Beast had been catching the Ripple Body because it mistook it for food. The chapter left Guang Yan with an explanation for the experiments’ brief, unexplained disconnections.

  • Guang Yan installed the Stepping Machine in Mist Harbor and began collecting local data while Meilebu continued construction of Ripple Valley.
  • Guang Yan reflected on how he had escaped the Resurrection Kingdom, been imprisoned, and joined Ju God’s calculator program before becoming the person in charge of Mist Harbor’s experiments.
  • Guang Yan led repeated Ripple Body tests and noticed that its connection sometimes disappeared briefly, though the other regions experienced the same interruptions.
  • Guang Yan suspected the Mist Beasts and asked Ju God to clear them from the area, but comparison tests showed that their presence alone did not stop the Ripple Body.
  • A Black Hand emerged from Guang Yan’s shadow, ate his Liquid Demonic Energy, and explained that it had caught and swallowed the flickering Ripple Body but could not digest it.
  • Guang Yan realized that the Mist Beast’s attempts to eat the Ripple Body had caused its temporary disappearances.

Ch. 626Mr. Guang, the Ordinary Citizen

Guang Yan and Carbon Hand discovered that Carbon Hand’s Abnormal Interference let him accompany Ripple Bodies as they jumped between worlds, opening a new way to gather information. Years later, Guang Yan recounted their work to young engineers in Salt City, honoring Carbon Hand and encouraging them to pursue their own discoveries.

  • Guang Yan learned that Carbon Hand retained Abnormal Interference from his Carbon People body, making him uniquely able to catch Ripple Bodies.
  • Ju God made Carbon Hand a Prophet and promoted Guang Yan to Hero after their discovery was verified.
  • Guang Yan grew frustrated when Heart-Binding Nation failed to produce a cipher for converting Ripple Body frequencies into information.
  • Carbon Hand revealed that he could ride Ripple Bodies through different worlds and observe connected life forms without being affected by synchronization.
  • Guang Yan addressed young engineers at Salt City’s Engineering College, praised Carbon Hand, and urged the audience to believe in their own potential.

Ch. 627Wind God Fan Wheel

Lu Yao bought the Wind God Fan Wheel and placed it in Wind Ring Valley, where it produced Wind Mothers that enabled long-distance communication. Ju then revealed that Sun-Forging Bay had achieved stable control of the Ripple Body, giving the Yao Clan a way to gather information from nearby worlds.

  • Lu Yao abandoned his initial plan to build Ripple Valleys across many worlds after finding the construction costs and jump routes too difficult to manage.
  • Lu Yao bought the Wind God Fan Wheel, placed it in Wind Ring Valley, and produced a Wind Mother from Omnipotence Stones and stored wind power.
  • Philes tested the Wind Mother's long-distance calling ability, while Ju recognized its value for communication and wind-energy research.
  • Ju told Lu Yao that Guang Yan and Carbon Hand had made the Ripple Body controllable, and Lu Yao watched them demonstrate synchronization between distant Calculators.
  • Ju explained that the Ripple Body and Ripple Valleys could function as a radio system for gathering information from nearby civilized worlds, then requested permission to use the Wind God Fan Wheel for further research.

  • Sharipa coughed up blood, alarming Zhizhi, who feared that a hostage's death would bring the Detective Bureau after him.
  • Zhizhi revealed that he had secretly cooperated with the Red and White Society to kidnap the travelers and demand ransom while avoiding serious harm.
  • Smoke and heat filled the hut as an Old God Sacrificial Ritual began outside, and Sharipa identified it as a rite meant to awaken monsters in the darkness.
  • Sharipa said he would speak to the awakened monsters to slow their attack, and Zhizhi urged everyone to stay calm and wait.

Ch. 631Blazing Fire Reaching the Heavens

Zhizhi and the other captives faced Demon Bifrons during a sacrifice to the Extinction Incarnation, while Sharipa used his knowledge of divine power to bargain for their safety. Sharipa sacrificed himself in a blazing transformation that broke the ritual’s imprisonment, leaving Zhizhi to escort the survivors to Yao City and carry Sharipa’s findings to White Fortress.
