Ch. 762The Goddess Is So Confused

Miss Sloth began recording deaths in the new world, where Yao Tribe physicians repeatedly intervened to save the dying. After escorting a Skeleton Soldier through his final moments, she took his loyal Skeleton Dog with her to Goddess Hela.

  • Miss Sloth learned that Goddess Hela was delighted by the Flame of Faith Lord Yao had provided through a partnership introduced by Mr. Halo.
  • Miss Sloth visited the dying Troll Deiaur, but a Yao Tribe Skeleton Physician treated her and pulled her back from the brink of death.
  • Miss Sloth comforted a dying Skeleton Soldier, who reflected on his life and asked her to find a home for his Skeleton Dog.
  • The Skeleton Soldier died after wishing the Yao Tribe well, and Miss Sloth recorded his death and took the dog into her care.
  • Miss Sloth encountered a physician who regretted not reaching the Skeleton Soldier in time and realized that the people of this world fought death without fearing it.

Ch. 763Let the World Move Itself!

Fifteen years later, Miss Sloth watched the Yao Clan Civilization improve the [Traveler] world and heard Long Ji explain its plan to make the world move through the Border Zone. After Goddess Hela approved Long Ji’s help with researching Death Symbols, Miss Sloth looked forward to handing him more work.

  • Miss Sloth reported that deaths had fallen as Yao Clan specialists arrived and improved conditions in the [Traveler] world.
  • Long Ji described how the Yao Clan planned to use Magic Wells and defenses to turn the [Traveler] world into a self-propelled vehicle.
  • Miss Sloth became interested in Long Ji’s plan when she realized it might let the world move people and resolve matters for her.
  • Goddess Hela examined Miss Sloth’s Death Symbols, and Miss Sloth suggested the Yao Clan could help capture them.
  • Goddess Hela summoned Long Ji, approved his participation in Death Symbol research, and instructed him to work with Miss Sloth.

Ch. 764Light Lizardman

Miss Sloth and Long Ji studied Death Symbols and found that the symbols of Righteous Lizardmen and the Nuo Clan shared structures linked to the Shen Element. Their experiments briefly brought a Righteous Lizardman’s Death Symbol to life, and Long Ji sought Lord Yao’s approval for continued cooperation with Goddess Hela.

  • Long Ji questioned Miss Sloth about Death Symbols, and she explained how the world’s changing rules could obscure them and showed him the complex symbols recorded for Gods.
  • Miss Sloth reflected on Goddess Hela’s knowledge-sharing and Lord Yao’s generous support, then noticed that Righteous Lizardmen and the Nuo Clan had unusually similar Death Symbols.
  • Long Ji explained that Death Symbols and Demon Seals shared structural features, and said their research linked the similar symbols to both races possessing the Shen Element.
  • Long Ji showed Miss Sloth a reconstructed Righteous Lizardman Death Symbol that shifted through images of a living figure, then activated the crystal wall to make a glowing Light Lizardman briefly appear.
  • Long Ji called the result a major research step and proposed long-term cooperation, while Miss Sloth agreed and urged him to seek Lord Yao’s permission.

Ch. 765Death Puppet Shadow

Lu Yao reviewed the Yao Clan’s advances in the Border Zone, including Long Ji’s Death Puppet Shadow research and Fahai’s long-distance airship test. He agreed to let Hela remain in the Traveler world to study Breathing Soil, then learned from Philes that an unknown crystal pillar had come alive.

  • Lu Yao received Long Ji’s report that the Traveler world had built retractable Bone Construction facilities and 110 Elemental Magic Wells to steer its course through the Border Zone.
  • Long Ji demonstrated a Death Puppet Shadow, a temporary construct made from Breathing Soil and Hela’s Death Symbol that synchronized with a Lizardman Ghost and could wield level 99 God-like power.
  • Lu Yao agreed to Halo’s request to negotiate with Hela, who accepted a long-term stay in the Traveler world in exchange for access to Breathing Soil.
  • Lu Yao observed Fahai testing a Flying Boat powered by an Elemental Magic Well, and Joseph praised the Mud Monkey’s progress toward long-distance void travel.
  • Philes apologized to Lu Yao and reported that the unknown crystal pillar he had been given had come alive.

Ch. 766Alchemy Stone and the King of the Gods

Lu Yao learned that the Alchemy Stone was dramatically increasing Light Gold production and enabling safer research, then Dog City asked for his help after Odin, the Norse King of the Gods, revived inside its walls. Lu Yao entered Dog City and started a battle against Odin, with Xing Tian and three Soldier Spirits ready to support him.

  • Philes reported that the Alchemy Stone refined Light Gold from Breathing Soil at far higher rates, and Lu Yao ordered the Yao Clan to prioritize safety.
  • Philes demonstrated that Light Gold could block Fire Element and weaken Shen Element, while the Alchemy Stone's residue could be made into Forbidden Stone.
  • Mao Cao and Charles told Lu Yao that Dog City had paid 25 Godheads and that Odin had revived there beyond the ability of Dog City's allies to stop.
  • Charles opened Dog City to Lu Yao, who found Odin facing the Kunlun Four Heroes and Dog City's defenders.
  • Lu Yao challenged Odin and readied Xing Tian, three Soldier Spirits, and several artifacts to support the fight.

Ch. 767I Will Return Like Lightning

Lu Yao helped Xing Tian and Dog City’s defenders battle Odin, then learned that Odin had invaded to demand tribute and search the God Tombs for deity corpses. After binding Odin’s avatar and taking several valuable items, Lu Yao exiled him to the Gray Vision prison area where Extinction Incarnation and Form of Sound were held.

  • Lu Yao sent the three Soldier Spirits to support Xing Tian against Odin and asked Isabelle to find Menes for information.
  • Menes explained that Odin had demanded Dog City’s submission and tribute, and described the Supreme Throne’s powerful vision and evasion abilities.
  • When Odin tried to leave, Lu Yao bound him and pinned him down with the Dragon Binding Rope and Brionac, then had Jimmy interrogate him with the Wealth Gathering Whip.
  • Jimmy knocked the Smelling Salt Bottle and Horn of Plenty from Odin, while Lu Yao collected the items, Flame of Faith, and World Stones.
  • Lu Yao used the Proof of Exile to send Odin’s avatar to the Gray Vision prison area shared by Extinction Incarnation and Form of Sound.

Ch. 768Immortal Generals and Spirit Soldiers

Weituotian and the Kunlun gods faced Odin, whose [Supreme Throne] turned Weituotian’s attack back on himself. As the gods sought a way to contain Odin, Queen Mother of the West’s forces arrived and swiftly subdued him, leaving him bound and interrogated.

  • Weituotian charged Odin with his Demon Subduing Pestle and used [Lamp of the End of Dharma Vow], but Odin’s power turned the karmic fire onto Weituotian.
  • The Obsidian Butterfly Goddess rescued Weituotian, and she and the other Kunlun gods concluded that Odin’s [Supreme Throne] nullified or reversed most attacks.
  • Shen Gongbao, Winged Immortal, and the Obsidian Butterfly Goddess speculated that Odin was searching for Old Gods to gather resources and put pressure on Dog City.
  • Weituotian proposed sealing Odin with a powerful title, but before the gods could act, a six-winged Headless Winged Man and three strange soldiers attacked him.
  • The attackers bound Odin to his throne and pinned him with a five-headed spear, while a snowman wielding a golden whip demanded that he confess to opposing Lord Yao.

Ch. 769Still Talking Tough

Weituotian and the Kunlun gods defeated the disguised God of Falsehood, Terence, after Queen Mother of the West transformed him into a Demon and sent him to Hell. Terence returned still boasting, while Weituotian discovered the resolve that could guide him toward becoming a Main God.

  • Queen Mother of the West transformed the intruding Odin into a Demon and sent him to Hell, and Weituotian realized the transformation had weakened and sealed him.
  • Weituotian and the Kunlun gods searched Dog City for Odin's accomplices and checked the captured Supreme Throne, Hliskjalf.
  • Isabelle revealed that the intruder had actually been Terence, the God of Falsehood, disguised as Odin, and reported that he had returned from Hell.
  • Terence, battered but still claiming to be Odin, boasted that he could never be defeated, while a blue-skinned, eight-armed female Demon challenged him.
  • Weituotian recognized that extreme selfhood and madness could lead toward Main Godhood, broke through his old restraints, and resolved to become the Mad Vajra who smashed everything with the Demon Subduing Pestle.

Ch. 770Speak My Name!

Lu Yao discovered that the supposed Odin was Terence, the Roman God of Falsehood, who had been sent by Jupiter to infiltrate Dog City and steal its resources. After freeing Terence from his Odin disguise, Lu Yao learned Rome’s plan and considered the [Supreme Throne] his consolation prize.

  • Kali brought the disguised Odin to Lu Yao, and explained that Terence’s [Prosperity of Falsehood] had made him impersonate the Norse god.
  • Lu Yao and the witnesses acknowledged Terence as Odin, allowing him to shed the disguise and reveal his true identity.
  • Terence admitted that Jupiter had ordered him to infiltrate Dog City, seize its resources, and ideally bring the city under Roman Mythology’s control.
  • Terence explained that he had posed as a Deity Corpse and an Undead Warrior before attempting to pressure Dog City’s ruler and loot its God Tombs.
  • Lu Yao realized Rome was seeking Dog City’s wealth to ease its resource crisis and looked to the [Supreme Throne] as compensation.

Ch. 771Lord of False Narration

Lu Yao took Terence’s Supreme Throne and learned how the God of Falsehood had served Rome while remaining bound to Jupiter’s influence. After Terence entered Hell and Lu Yao rewarded Weituotian for defending Kunlun, Roman Mythology sent an envoy to disavow Terence and announce Minerva’s upcoming visit, prompting Lu Yao to prepare for negotiations.

  • Terence offered Lu Yao the Supreme Throne, transferred its binding to himself, and explained the God of Falsehood’s history and Rome’s depleted resources.
  • Terence pledged his services to Lu Yao, who ordered Kali to observe and discipline him in Hell.
  • Lu Yao thanked the Kunlun Four Heroes and gave Weituotian a large Jade Pool Peach for standing against Terence.
  • The Sacred Scarab told Lu Yao that Dog City was preparing a special gift and asked permission to leave and handle it.
  • A messenger delivered Jupiter’s statement disavowing Terence and announced that Minerva would visit as Rome’s ambassador, while Lu Yao prepared to negotiate.

Ch. 772War Reparations Are Important Here!

The Messenger explained Rome's position and offered Lu Yao compensation for Terence's damage to Dog City. Lu Yao chose several rewards and summoned Terence when Minerva arrived, leaving the Roman goddess face-to-face with the God of Falsehood.

  • The Messenger said he served Lu Yao but would need to leave Roman Mythology to act solely on Lu Yao's behalf.
  • The Messenger explained Rome's stance on Terence and presented a compensation list for the damage to Dog City.
  • Lu Yao selected Mitra's Ode Totem, twenty-two Nymphs, and Sylvanus's Crest from the list.
  • Lu Yao rejected Yanhu Ward and learned from Sacred Scarab that Medjed's Blind City was likely in ruins.
  • Minerva arrived in Resurrection City to explain Rome's position, and Lu Yao summoned Terence to meet her.

Ch. 773All Things Born

Minerva negotiated with Lu Yao over Rome’s invasion of Dog City, and he accepted all the reparations, including Sylvanus’s Crest, which granted him the title [Old Father of Nature] and its [All Things Born] ability. Minerva then offered cooperation and revealed that Rome had salvaged worlds from the Void Mirror, leaving Lu Yao to consider what Rome was seeking there.

  • Minerva blamed Terence’s unstable mind for Rome’s actions, but Terence accused her of ordering the infiltration and occupation of Dog City and warned her not to underestimate the threats to her position.
  • Minerva offered Lu Yao every item on the previous list, and he accepted them all, including Sylvanus’s Crest and deeds to Yanhu Ward and Blind City.
  • Lu Yao merged Sylvanus’s Crest into the Tree of Sylvanus, gained the title [Old Father of Nature], and used [All Things Born] to decompose Mad Umbrella and the deity corpse Zikluo, producing materials and a Godhead that strengthened nearby animals.
  • Lu Yao placed Mitra’s Ode Totem in Mystic Arts Country and sent 22 Nymphs to Mao Cao for placement in Resurrection Kingdom before returning his attention to the talks with Minerva and Terence.
  • Minerva proposed cooperation through her Ghost proxy Jiu Jiu at the Investment Center, where Lu Yao inspected Rome’s unnamed worlds and learned they had been salvaged from the Void Mirror while searching for opportunities within it.

Ch. 774All Roads Lead to Rome

Minerva explained Rome’s law, All Roads Lead to Rome, and invited Lu Yao to join a dangerous expedition into the Void Mirror. Lu Yao refused, then contacted Song Shiyi to ask whether Teacher Zao had returned.

  • Minerva said Rome used its law to send Heroes into the Void Mirror and seize worlds, and that Rome had learned to operate the law more effectively after years of research.
  • Minerva offered Lu Yao a share of the spoils if he joined Rome’s expedition to a valuable, dangerous area inside the Void Mirror.
  • Lu Yao refused the offer, even after Minerva mentioned the possibility of finding Godheads.
  • Minerva left after saying Rome would welcome future cooperation, and Lu Yao inferred that Rome valued Dog City’s Godhead reserves as well as its Flame of Faith.
  • Lu Yao called Song Shiyi as Huang Jia and asked to speak with Teacher Zao.

Ch. 775The Damaged Taisui

Lu Yao learned from Ding Hanzhen that Rome’s law, [All Roads Lead to Rome], might be tied to its violent traditions and the Void Mirror, then discovered that a badly damaged Taisui had brought him a hidden Grit World. Inside, Lu Yao followed a Star Bridge into a ruined world and recognized the enormous moving pillars as the Gaze of the Spirit King.

  • Ding Hanzhen warned Lu Yao that Rome’s [All Roads Lead to Rome] might depend on conquest and the bloodshed sustaining the [Pantheon], and said the Strategic Bureau suspected Rome had created the Void Mirror.
  • Lu Yao received a warning that Taisui was approaching and saw that it was badly damaged, with signs of Red Void burns across its body.
  • Taisui presented Lu Yao with an unnamed Grit World covered in Breathing Soil, which Lu Yao traced to the Ruined Hill after [King Wuji] and the Dark Star Lord provided information.
  • Lu Yao entered the deliberately obscured world with Isabelle and found that a Star Bridge’s countdown could be extended with Flame of Faith.
  • Lu Yao crossed the Star Bridge into a barren, gray world and identified two immense moving pillars as the Gaze of the Spirit King.

Ch. 776Star Walker

Lu Yao investigated the [Aberrant Double Fissure], discovered a Psionic Encapsulator, and used [Life Domestication] to reveal that the fissure was part of Taisui’s body. He realized Taisui had led him here to recover its lost legs, and he ended the chapter deciding whether to return them or keep them.

  • Lu Yao observed the [Aberrant Double Fissure], entered a rift it opened, and found 15 Psionic Encapsulation Cards.
  • Using the [Identifier], Lu Yao identified and opened a card containing a Psionic Encapsulator.
  • Lu Yao assessed the [Aberrant Double Fissure]’s immense power and abandoned an attempt to dismantle it with [All Things Born].
  • Lu Yao used [Life Domestication] 495 times before successfully revealing the fissure’s data panel.
  • Lu Yao learned that the [Aberrant Double Fissure] was Taisui’s lost legs, which had been searching for its upper half, and found he could control them.

Ch. 777I Think I Am

Lu Yao returned Taisui’s two limbs and received the Spirit Observation Immortal Platform in return. Through it, he connected to the damaged Spirit Duke, learned that the Zodiacal Orbit had impaired it, and hit a 100-character daily interaction limit.

  • Lu Yao sent Taisui’s two limbs through the Star Bridge, and Taisui attached them to its back, gaining the Star Walker ability.
  • Taisui gave Lu Yao the Spirit Observation Immortal Platform, which Lu Yao activated beside the Spirit Altar Machine in Yao City Temple.
  • Lu Yao used the platform to connect to the Divine Nexus and opened a chat with the Spirit Duke.
  • The Spirit Duke explained that it was almost entirely damaged, had separated from the other Myths, and could no longer provide meaningful assistance.
  • Lu Yao learned that the Zodiacal Orbit had damaged the Spirit Duke, but the system cut off their conversation after reaching its 100-character daily limit.

Ch. 778Soldier Form

Lu Yao entered the Brigadier General-level Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy trial as Huang Jia and led Xing Tian and three Soldier Spirits against a hill stronghold where enemy Soldier Spirits continually revived. When two powerful Soldier Forms overwhelmed Xing Tian, Lu Yao used the Wealth Gathering Whip to destroy Branch of Obscurity, leaving the fight against Square Head unresolved.

  • Lu Yao activated Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy and selected Huang Jia, then summoned Xing Tian and three Soldier Spirits after arriving on the battlefield.
  • Lu Yao sent Xing Tian to draw out and defeat enemy Soldier Spirits, but discovered that they revived from Soldier Tokens on the hill unless the stronghold was breached.
  • Lu Yao ordered Xing Tian to charge the position, where he endured repeated Psionic Bombardments and destroyed a Psionic Guard while fighting through the enemy ranks.
  • A colonel and a major reorganized Soldier Spirits into the Soldier Forms Square Head and Branch of Obscurity, which threatened to overwhelm Xing Tian with their attacks and spatial lockdown.
  • Lu Yao sent a lieutenant Soldier Spirit around the battlefield and had it strike Branch of Obscurity with the Wealth Gathering Whip, destroying it before turning his attention to Square Head.

Ch. 779Xing Tian, Overload!

Lu Yao’s forces fought their way to the final boss, Brigadier General Malik, and nearly lost before Xing Tian awakened [Monarch Surrounded by Stars] and [Overload] to defeat him. The trial ended with a perfect evaluation, and Lu Yao was offered an official rank conferment.

  • Lu Yao used [Wealth Gathering Whip] to kill the enemy Soldier Forms [Branch of Obscurity] and [Square Head], then advanced past the Psionic Guards while keeping Xing Tian alive.
  • Lu Yao led Xing Tian to the hilltop and fought Brigadier General Malik, who outmaneuvered and overwhelmed Xing Tian with his transforming weapons.
  • As Malik prepared a powerful attack, Lu Yao’s soldiers distracted him while Xing Tian activated [Monarch Surrounded by Stars] and entered [Overload].
  • Xing Tian battered Malik, and Lu Yao passed him the [Wealth Gathering Whip], allowing Xing Tian to strike Malik and destroy him.
  • The trial settled with a kill bonus of 766×1000, no losses, and a perfect evaluation, and Lu Yao was offered an official rank conferment.

Ch. 780The First Marshal

Lu Yao completed the final trial in [Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy], recruited Malik, and was commissioned as a Major General before automatic promotions made him First Marshal. He gained command of the forces stationed at the trial grounds, but the failed appointment procedure left him unable to deploy them outside the area.

  • Lu Yao summoned Malik and learned that the Brigadier General could train and command Soldier Spirits and switch between specialized weapon forms.
  • Malik explained that [Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy] had thirteen ranks and that Lu Yao had completed its final General-rank trial.
  • Lu Yao received the rank of Major General, then was automatically promoted through the vacant ranks to First Marshal.
  • Malik told Lu Yao that 230,000 Soldier Spirits were stationed at the exercise base, and Lu Yao gained the [Supreme Commander] ability to command them there.
  • The appointment procedure failed because it could not connect to [Spirit Duke], leaving Lu Yao without permission to deploy troops beyond the area.

Ch. 781Spirit Duke, Grant Me an Official Position!

Lu Yao simplified the general-tier assessment, learned that the Spirit Race’s greatest battlefield enemy was the Fallen Servants, and discovered more about the dangerous Zodiacal Orbit. After using up his daily messages to the damaged Spirit Duke, he saw that Vilia had invented a plastic sheet and received the option to make her a Hero.

  • Lu Yao reduced the First Marshal trial to a single general-tier assessment, assigned ten colonels and two hundred Soldier Spirits to defend it, and gave Malik psionic energy to train his troops.
  • Lu Yao found the Invincible in a Hundred Battles region but held off activating it after Malik said he lacked clearance to identify its enemies.
  • Lu Yao asked the Spirit Duke how it could regain the authority to grant him a post, and learned it needed either the Spirit King’s edict or the reconstruction of 206 Myths.
  • Lu Yao learned that the Zodiacal Orbit was a destructive megastructure confined to the Truth Side, and that the Spirit Race’s greatest battlefield enemy was the Fallen Servants.
  • Halo said he had never heard of a war between the Underworld and the Spirit Realm, while Lu Yao exhausted his daily message quota trying to learn more about the Fallen Servants.
  • Lu Yao saw that Vilia had invented a plastic sheet and received a prompt asking whether to transform her into a Hero.
