In a concealed hollow surrounded by vines and carpeted with low ferns, Viktor and his two companions gnawed on wild fruit they had found in the trees while staring intently at the Blackboard Map.
The first thing that put Viktor on alert was that the team lingering around the edge of the arena had finally begun to show its intention to compete.
Judging by the positions displayed on the map, they would enter this fiercely contested area when the positions refreshed again.
And the fact that they had chosen to enter the fray now was quite fortunate.
Based on the previous position refreshes, that team had likely noticed that one team had already encountered two others, including their own.
To that cunning team, the three School Emblems were probably already concentrated in the hands of one or two teams.
And after at least two clashes, the three teams in the center of the map should have expended a great deal of energy.
Having conserved their strength all this time, that team was preparing to seize all the School Emblems while the other three teams had yet to catch their breath.
It was a very clever tactic. Whoever had come up with it had to be a very crafty person.
They had already encountered Hermione's team. Now, her team's position appeared some distance off to their side. They seemed to be trying to circle around behind them, but hoping for a sneak attack was unrealistic. Viktor could not figure out what exactly they intended to do.
As for that cunning team, Viktor instinctively felt it was unlikely to be Fleur and the others.
But that cunning team probably did not yet know that an additional force in the arena was also pursuing the School
