"Dumbledore! Has anyone seen Dumbledore?"
In the Ministry of Magic's reception hall, cries rang out without end. A wizard who appeared to be from Vagadu stood on tiptoe and shouted to his companions closer to the lift lobby.
"Harry Potter is being tried. Hogwarts's headmaster has to be here. What if we can get an interview beforehand?"
"And Amosta Breen!"
Quite a few people were also shouting Amosta's name.
"They say he'll attend the trial and defend Potter. Has anyone seen him?"
"Breaking news, breaking news!"
The lifts descended into the lift lobby, and more than a dozen reporters spilled out of the cars, shouting in every direction.
"From Senior Undersecretary Umbridge: she has declared that while the Wizengamot judicial body tries Harry Potter today, it will also hear the case of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley for violating the International Confederation of Wizards Secrecy Law!"
Boom!
It was as though a tremendously powerful bomb had exploded in the reception hall. The excited reporters' eyes reddened as they shouted wildly.
"Who knows who Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are?"
A wizard unfamiliar with the European wizarding world shouted, drawing scornful looks from many of his peers.
"Hermione Granger was Hogwarts's second champion in the Triwizard Tournament. Ron Weasley was the assistant Granger selected during the final task. Clearly, he comes from the Weasley family, one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight!"
Someone kindly answered the question.
"This is an intense political conflict!"
A current affairs reporter from The Daily Prophet cried out excitedly.
"The Ministry of Magic has declared all-out war on Hogwarts! Can Dumbledore and Breen withstand it? Oh, Merlin, I can't wait to see how the hearing ends!"
