Crabbe and Goyle's snores were thunderous. Harry found it hard to imagine how their roommates could stand them.

What surprised Harry even more was Professor Lahansen's attitude.

He did not seem particularly angry, merely shaking his head with a wry smile.

"This happens from time to time. The snores of Mr. Crabbe and Mr. Goyle are no more irritating than the distracting thoughts in your minds, so I hope you will continue trying."

That was certainly a novel way of putting it.

After all, no professor at Hogwarts would tolerate students sleeping soundly through class, except Professor Binns.

But even he would not permit it if you made enough noise to disrupt the lesson.
