The day after Oxta was breached, an International Confederation of Wizards meeting convened in Paris at the request of the German Minister for Magic.

Amosta could understand the reasons behind the panic in the German Ministry of Magic, and indeed the entire European magical community.

For years, European nations had always lacked any real fear of Voldemort.

It was not because those in power at the various Ministries of Magic were shortsighted fools, nor because they had failed to recognize Voldemort's power.

Rather, for many years, Dumbledore had done everything in his power to contain Voldemort's threat within Britain's borders, preventing it from spreading to other countries.

Thus, to the leaders of the various Ministries of Magic, Voldemort was less dangerous than the fugitives roaming within their own territories.

Especially after Amosta's forceful rise, some people had even hoped Voldemort would become more vicious. That way, the two great wizards in Britain would both be tied down within their own country, leaving them no energy to interfere with the balance of the international magical world.

But when Voldemort truly stepped beyond Britain's borders and began plotting in other countries, the terrifying calamity that had swept through the European magical world half a century ago immediately resurfaced in their minds, leaving them unable to eat or sleep in peace.

Amosta stepped into the Goblin Hotel where he had stayed before the Triwizard Tournament, when he had come to Paris to report the security plan to the International Confederation of Wizards review panel.

"Ah, what rare guests—"

As the emerald flames faded before them, the man approaching raised his shadowed brows when he saw Amosta and Dumbledore step out of the fireplace.

He strode forward, the faint mockery at the corner of his similarly tilted mouth aimed at Dumbledore rather than Amosta.
