Sirius's words drew everyone's attention away from the sword in Neville's hand and onto himself, changing the oppressive atmosphere in the bar.
Professor Breen had foreseen it. He had told Sirius before!
The ashen look on Harry's face immediately faded, color returning to his cheeks. Hermione forced her swollen eyes wider and stared at Sirius, a flicker of startled suspicion appearing on her face.
A long-buried memory began to churn in her mind.
"Is that so? The summer before last."
A faint glimmer flashed through Dumbledore's eyes. He took two breaths, then stepped away from Grindelwald's support.
"Yes, that's right. Amosta said you would tell me something, but before that—"
Dumbledore looked at Vitia.
"Ms. Cliodna, you came into contact with Amosta even earlier, didn't you?"
"It was the summer a year before that—"
Vitia nodded.
"Then I would like to hear your story first, Ms. Cliodna—"
Dumbledore said.
"Amosta broke the seal left by Merlin and Gryffindor and obtained the Twin Serpent Wand. But as far as I know, you were the one who gave the Twin Serpent Wand to Voldemort. What exactly happened?"
The atmosphere silently grew grave. Everyone sensed that they were about to hear a momentous secret.
"I don't know what happened with Gryffindor—"
Vitia said. She hesitated, but ultimately decided to conceal Jin Kui's identity for Amosta's sake.
Then she began her account.
In truth, it was not a particularly thrilling adventure to her.
Following the divination of the previous generation's priest, she found Amosta and invited him to explore the Isle of Avalon with her.
They parted before the entrance doors. She went directly into the temple's antechamber to wait, while Amosta explored Avalon on his own.
When they met again, Amosta had already broken the seal and obtained the Twin Serpent Wand.
