After hearing the intelligence Narlack had provided, Amosta and the other two fell silent.

Amelia frowned deeply, her face full of distrust.

Just look at the pub they were in now—illegal and criminal dealings were everywhere. Once she came to her senses, she even recognized quite a few of the patrons. They seemed to be criminals the Department of Security had circulated notices on, urgently seeking their arrest.

And the goblin running such a pub was itself guilty of heinous crimes. How much credibility could anything coming out of its mouth possibly have?

Besides, in less than a year since joining MACUSA, Amelia had already heard of two or three cases in which Mr. Grevis had personally arrested vicious criminals. Everyone knew Mr. Grevis was a highly skilled wizard. If, as Narlack claimed, his body had some serious problem, how could he still be capable of such things?

What was more, she had met Mr. Grevis at close range just last night and had not noticed anything wrong with him at all.

Unlike Amelia, Remus had spent time in the underground wizarding world. He knew what these information brokers were capable of, and he was inclined to believe the intelligence Narlack had provided. What concerned him, however, was how much value that information still held.

After all, Narlack had said that Grevis had stopped buying Potions from the black market, and it was not certain whether Grevis had recovered.

Even if he had not recovered, could Amosta solve his problem?

Remus had heard Sirius recount Frank and Alice's recovery in detail. Their circumstances had been exceptional, and that alone could not prove that Amosta possessed equal mastery over healing injuries and destruction.
