Amosta led Amelia to a towering white building that rose above the surrounding shops. By the gleaming bronze doors, two goblins in scarlet-and-gold uniforms showed surprise the moment they saw Amosta. Then, shedding the faint arrogance normally lingering in their eyes when facing ordinary customers, they nimbly hopped down the steps.
"Welcome to Gringotts, Mr. Breen—"
Along the way, many witches and wizards on the street who recognized Amosta had bowed to him in respect. Amelia was beginning to get used to it.
After giving the two goblins a slight nod, Amosta turned and said,
"Since you intend to live in London, I suggest you open a vault at Gringotts as well."
After considering it for a moment and deciding it was indeed necessary, Amelia nodded.
Led by the goblins, they entered Gringotts's vast marble hall. Amelia looked curiously at the goblins seated behind a long row of counters. Some weighed coins on brass scales, while others inspected gemstones through eyepieces, hastily recording the results in large ledgers. The walls behind the goblins were also set with many doors leading to different places.
"We have our own wizarding bank back home, but it isn't nearly as busy as this—" Amelia said as she looked at the lines formed before the counters. "Why didn't you open a vault at Gringotts, Amosta?"
"You must know that when I first entered the magical world, I didn't have much money. After spending several years at Hogwarts, I had saved up some gold, but I often used it to buy Potions ingredients or rare magical books to improve my magical abilities. By the time I had enough gold, I was already strong enough to protect my own wealth, so there was no need."
Amosta explained to Amelia, then said to the waiting goblin,
"Miss Amelia
