Amosta later agreed to protect Harry from Sirius Black, explored the underground market with him, and made a secret bargain with Remus Lupin as the Hogwarts term began.

As Harry and his friends worried over Hagrid, Amosta agreed to shelter Lupin during the full moon, while Harry later saw Snape questioning Draco about threats to his parents.

  • Amosta examined Herpo the Foul’s writings, then failed to bind a frog’s soul into a curse seed and hid his experiment when he heard someone approaching.
  • After meeting the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione at The Leaky Cauldron, Amosta learned that Black had escaped and was believed to be hunting Harry, and he went to Hogsmeade to watch for him.
