Nature and Conversion

Spiritual Power is the primary cultivated energy of the Great Thousand World and is stated to be of far higher quality than Yuan Power. Yuan Power is also described as a lower-level form of Great Thousand World Spiritual Power. A cultivator arriving from a Lower Plane must convert their Yuan Power before they can properly absorb the world’s spiritual energy and continue advancing 711 667.

Lin Langtian begins this conversion while injured and depleted, using Devouring Power to absorb ambient spiritual energy and restore his body. The completed conversion establishes Spiritual Power within his Supreme Sea and carries him directly to the Second-grade Supreme Realm 713 714.

• The gap between Supreme grades is described as enormous in both quantity and quality of Spiritual Power 714.
• At high levels, Spiritual Power can become heavy and vital enough that every drop resembles a mountain in weight 933.
• High-level Earthly Supremes can cause their Spiritual Power to resonate with the energy of heaven and earth, producing manifestations of mountains, rivers, and streams 845.

Attribute Fusion

Spiritual Power can carry distinct elemental or conceptual attributes. Lin’s Eight Directions Primordial Chaos Technique requires eight different attributes to fully activate eight Demonic Spirit Pillars; the completed technique combines those attributes into a formation capable of devastating a region 731.

• Lin’s Spiritual Power is shown using attributes including flame, thunder, ice, void, devouring, and darkness 731.
• His combat power rises sharply when his Spiritual Power is fused with Evil Energy and eight attributes, overwhelming the magma-infused power of Li Chi 747.
• The fusion process is abnormal: Spiritual Power and Outer Realm Evil Power are ordinarily incompatible, like fire and water 667 718.

Limitations

• Spiritual Power is subject to environmental suppression. On Stone Island, stronger cultivators suffer heavier suppression; Lin loses roughly 20% of his Spiritual Power, while a stronger Great Elder loses about 70% 838.
• The Eight Directions Primordial Chaos Technique is ineffective when powered by insufficiently varied attributes; each of its eight Spirit Pillars requires a distinct compatible energy 731.
• Spiritual Power fused with Evil Energy is exceptionally potent but inherently dangerous because the two forces are naturally hostile 667 718.
• Willpower is explicitly distinct from Spiritual Power. Although powerful willpower can command battle intent, Formation Masters require specialized methods to cultivate it 823.
