Background

Lin Langtian remembers a previous life and initially recognizes himself as the minor antagonist destined to be defeated by Lin Dong. Fearing Lin Dong's rapid growth and the advantages granted by the Ancestral Stone, he briefly considers killing him before he can rise 1.

He instead chooses to change course. Aware that his earlier arrogance and the crippling of Lin Dong's father, Lin Xiao, could turn their conflict irreconcilable, he sends compensation and an apology to the Yan City branch through Elder Tao. The offering includes a Green Wood Spirit Pill, ten thousand Pure Yuan Pills, and his identity token 9.

Lin Langtian steadily gains prestige within the Lin Clan through rapid cultivation, battlefield accomplishments, and his leadership of the Yan Alliance. After winning the Hundred Dynasties War, he joins Yuan Sect's Fire Division, eventually becoming its Personal Disciple Grand Disciple and a Spirit General 297 314 355.

Although he outwardly serves Yuan Sect, he secretly preserves his bond with Lin Dong.
