Lin Dong grew up in Qingyang Town as the son of Lin Xiao of the Yan City branch of the Lin Clan. Lin Xiao had been crippled by the original Lin Langtian at a clan gathering, leaving Lin Dong with years of resentment and a determination to defeat the main-family genius himself. Lin Langtian’s later intervention—sending medicine that restored Lin Xiao—began to dissolve that hatred, though Lin Dong still sought a final settlement at the next clan assembly 14.

When Lin Dong first met the changed Lin Langtian, he had already touched the Creation Realm and carried an unusual aura noticed even by Little Marten. Rather than escalating their inherited hostility, Lin Dong accepted the reconciliation offered to him, though he retained the ambition to surpass Lin Langtian 71 96.

Lin Langtian later entrusted the Devouring Ancestral Symbol to Lin Dong, recognizing his exceptional fortune. Lin Dong accepted it and eventually received it back after Lin Langtian had used it for three months; this artifact became central to his subsequent cultivation path 137 141.

Lin Dong accompanied Lin Langtian to the Ancient Tomb Mansion, where he gained recognition by defeating Lin Chen with Symbol Master techniques. Clan Assembly

At the Lin Clan Assembly, Lin Dong defeated Half-step Creation expert Lin Mu before publicly challenging Lin Langtian. His Golden Giant Finger was stopped and shattered by Lin Langtian, whose Half-step Nirvana cultivation proved insurmountable.
