Andy walked slowly along the shelves of the Restricted Section. The books here were completely different from those outside; just looking at their covers sent a chill down his spine.
Andy casually pulled out a book.
"Forbidden Magic Experiments and Consequences"
The book had a black cover, smooth to the touch. It did not feel like ordinary parchment, and he had no idea what material it was made from.
Andy drew his wand.
"Lumos!"
He controlled the orb of light floating beside him, then put away his wand. After calming his somewhat excited emotions, he opened the book.
Andy: "..."
The moment he saw the first chapter, Andy understood something: the development of magic had not been smooth sailing. It had been accompanied by countless killings and evils, as well as all kinds of bloody experiments that could not see the light of day.
Some of Andy's ideas had even been personally tested by these people.
Those who came before had even carried out inhumane procedures such as fusing the blood of Magical Creatures with wizards.
Naturally, the results were obvious.
Dying on the spot could be considered a mercy. Some had turned into half-human, half-animal monsters. Others became mentally impaired or physically deformed... it was worse than death.
The book even contained illustrations depicting various mutated wizards.
Some had heads that had grown enormous, while others had their legs fused together. Entire bodies covered in rot, swollen flesh, and shriveled skin were practically mild cases.
"This is way too terrifying!" Andy felt a little nauseated.
The book summarized many consequences of failed magical experiments. Compared to the monsters recorded in it, Voldemort could practically be called handsome and refined.
Andy quickly skimmed through the entire book before putting it back.
One term appeared repeatedly in the book.
Magical Transformation!
