Could Something Have Happened to Grindelwald?

"Professor, is there something wrong with that question?" Hermione asked, looking astonished.

During Charms Class that afternoon, she and Andy had discussed the issue of magical history. In fact, they had talked about it more than once and had even looked through a great deal of information.

However, there were no relevant records in the library, which was the fundamental reason Hermione had always remained half-convinced and half-doubtful.

She felt Andy's reasoning made sense.

But there was nothing about it in the books.

The little witch still had great faith in book knowledge.

"There's nothing wrong with it, Miss Granger... I'm just a little surprised that you would think of such a question."

Dumbledore said slowly, "But unfortunately, from a historical perspective, I'm not much older than you are, so the history I know is about the same as yours."

Andy rolled his eyes at that.

Normally, with Dumbledore's experience and composure, no matter how shocking the news he heard, he would not show any obvious change in expression.

If he did, it had to be an act.

As for Dumbledore's answer... theoretically, that was indeed true. Dumbledore was only a little over a hundred years old this year, so he could not possibly know the history of several centuries ago.

The history of magic Dumbledore had learned would not differ much from the history of magic Andy had learned.

But he could investigate it himself! On one hand, Dumbledore was being vague; on the other, he was acting surprised by Hermione's question. There was clearly something off about that.

He was setting Hermione up!
