"Aaargh!"

Voldemort frantically swung his wand, sending a Ghastly Green beam of magic shooting straight at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore raised his wand as well. One red and one green beam collided fiercely in midair, magical flames scattering everywhere as the two forces remained deadlocked.

Again!

Voldemort's scarlet eyes locked tightly onto Dumbledore.

He knew what Dumbledore was waiting for.

As long as the last Horcrux was destroyed, Voldemort would become nothing more than flesh and blood. At that point, even a random spell could easily kill him.

"Aaargh—"

Voldemort let out a roar and abruptly severed his magical connection with Dumbledore.

A direct clash with Dumbledore was only the worst possible option.

His only way out now was to lift the Anti-Apparition enchantment on the manor and escape from here.

As long as he got away, he could go anywhere.

At that thought, Voldemort's expression grew even darker.

Because the Anti-Apparition enchantment had been altered! Had Dumbledore done it? Or was there a traitor among the Death Eaters? The former would be fine, but if it was the latter... was it Snape?

Voldemort swept his gaze around the room.

By now, it no longer mattered who had altered the Anti-Apparition enchantment. What mattered was that he had to break it.

"Dumbledore..."

Voldemort said hoarsely, "No one can Apparate here, and no outsiders can enter. Tell me... how do you think Collins plans to bring Potter here?"

He thought this was an opportunity.

Voldemort had personally set up the manor's Concealment Magic. No one knew better than he did how powerful it was.

In a sense, this manor had already vanished from the world.

If Collins can really enter this place, perhaps that will be my chance to escape, Voldemort thought.
