Andy's Deterrent Power

Time trickled by, and Hogwarts gradually returned to its former peace and tranquility. The turmoil in the Wizarding World likewise slowly subsided beneath the great force of time.

The pain Voldemort had brought.

The joy of defeating Voldemort.

The doubts surrounding Dumbledore.

The shock of Andy becoming a ghost.

Before the great force of time, all of it was merely fleeting smoke. After the clamor came calm.

Everyone had their own lives to live. No matter how earth-shaking something was, it could not withstand the erosion of daily necessities.

Unless it was your job.

Or your ideal.

Another Slug Club gathering had ended. Smiling, Andy held a small glass vial as he left the gathering place with Hermione.

"Andy, you really outdid yourself today."

Hermione held a stack of books in her arms and raised a brow with a smile. "Even Professor Slughorn was amazed by you."

"That was Professor Snape's doing. He's a master of potions." Andy did not take the credit.

Brewing potions, after all.

All one had to do was follow the procedure strictly. The difficult part was understanding the properties of potion ingredients, improving potions, or even developing an entirely new one.

"I heard Felix Felicis can bring people luck."

Hermione continued chattering, "Andy, don't take it gambling, or use it for anything bad."

Andy rubbed his nose at that and asked, "Uh! What exactly do you mean by 'anything bad'?"

Hermione wrinkled her nose and gave a soft huff. "For example, sneaking into the Department of Mysteries."

"Of course not." Andy denied it flatly.

"Also..."

Hermione looked around, then leaned close to Andy and whispered, "I know what that symbol means now."

"What symbol?" Andy froze.

"The Deathly Hallows symbol!"

Hermione stared into Andy's eyes and said seriously, "That's Gellert Grindelwald's symbol, isn't it?
