Kagetsu defeated Shinnō, took control of Ankor Bandian, and treated Yahiko and Nagato while Akatsuki faced Hanzo’s attack. As Yahiko trained to recover, Orochimaru tested the Hogyoku on Konoha fighters, and Hyuga Ran emerged in Hogyoku Mode during battle with Iwagakure.

• Kagetsu, Kakuzu, Anko, and Shisui confronted Shinnō at Ankor Bandian, where Shinnō summoned Zero-Tails and fused with it before the beast absorbed him and evolved.
• Kagetsu’s group seized Ankor Bandian, freed its captives, and Kagetsu studied Shinnō’s research before modifying Hida, Dado, Lü Mu, and Shan Gao.
• Hanzo attacked Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan after Yahiko refused his demand for most of Akatsuki’s Healing Tag profits, and Kagetsu arrived to treat the injured leaders.
• Kagetsu brought Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan to Ankor Bandian, removed two parasitic creatures from Nagato, and began treating Yahiko while investigating the Rinnegan.
• Kagetsu repaired Yahiko’s body with transplanted limbs containing Wood Release Cells and trained him in Air Walking, which Yahiko began to master after repeated falls.
• Orochimaru experimented on Iwa prisoners with the Hogyoku, then began the procedure on Akimichi Dong as Hyuga Ran and Yamanaka Xue Kui prepared to follow.
• During fighting between Konoha and Iwagakure, Akimichi Dong attacked Kitsuchi’s forces while Hyuga Ran fought Kari and the Explosive Destruction Squad, then emerged from beneath a boulder in Hogyoku Mode and struck back.

Hyuga Ran’s battle and Hanzo’s defeat set off a chain of events that drew Shisui into a clash with Madara’s White Zetsu and left him blind. Kagetsu rescued Shisui and Nagato, while Hiruzen suspended Danzo and Kagetsu began exploring how to restore Shisui’s Mangekyō power.

• Hyuga Ran defeated Kari’s Iwa squad with his newly awakened Hogyoku Mode, and his team captured Kari after Kitsuchi escaped.
• Hanzo and Karatachi Yagura attacked Yahiko’s group, but Nagato, Konan, and Shisui overcame them, killing Hanzo and driving the Mist forces away.
• Madara learned of Shisui’s Mangekyō and ordered White Zetsu to investigate Konoha, while Danzo made contact with Zetsu and later faced warnings from Hiruzen.
• Orochimaru used the Hogyoku on Shisui, who gained a powerful energy bow but found that his Hogyoku Mode strained his mind and soul.
• White Zetsu Tobi attacked Shisui’s escort, but Shisui resisted until Nagato and Yahiko arrived and a clash sent Shisui, Nagato, and Tobi into Hollow Circle.
• Cat Matatabi brought Shisui and Nagato back to the Shinobi World, where Kagetsu treated them and learned that Shisui had lost his sight and Sharingan abilities.
• Hiruzen confronted Danzo over his deal with Madara, suspended him, and placed Root’s operations under Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura.
• Yahiko reunited with Nagato and Kagetsu, and Kagetsu began considering whether another Mangekyō’s ocular power could restore Shisui’s sight.

Kagetsu and Orochimaru pursued research into Spiritual Weapons, the Hogyoku, and the source of Chakra while Tsunade returned to Konoha and joined their work. After Kagetsu defeated Han and split the Five-Tails, Minato arrived with a critically wounded Obito.

• Kagetsu and Orochimaru enlisted Fugaku’s cooperation in researching Sharingan and traveled to Ryūchi Cave, where the White Snake Sage showed them the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror’s location.
• Kagetsu brought Tsunade back to Konoha by offering Orochimaru’s plan to revive Nawaki and Dan Katō, and Tsunade joined the research after awakening Hogyoku Mode.
• Katsuyu introduced Kagetsu to a Wooden Stake in Shikkotsu Forest, and Kagetsu used Nagato’s Rinnegan to identify it as a fragment of the God Tree connected to the origin of Chakra and the Tailed Beasts.
• Orochimaru arranged for Iwa to target Tsunade, and Kagetsu, Shisui, and Tsunade’s guards fought off an assassination squad led by Han and supported by the Five-Tails.
• Kagetsu used his Wooden Sword and Allocation ability to strip Han of Boil Release, the Five-Tails, and part of his soul, then restrained the split Tailed Beast fragments.
• Kagetsu absorbed most of the Five-Tails’ power and left Han with three conscious fragments, while Tsunade gave Orochimaru a Bloodline Fruit extracted from Han.
• Minato arrived carrying a bloodied Obito and urgently asked Tsunade to save him.

Konoha defeated Iwa and moved toward peace, while Orochimaru became Fourth Hokage and reshaped the village’s leadership. Kagetsu then led a team to investigate Mukade in Rōran, where they discovered a hidden barrier, advanced defenses, and a threat watching them.

• Tsunade saved Obito, while Kagetsu restored Shisui’s sight and helped him awaken his Mangekyo Sharingan and Susanoo.
• Kagetsu earned Jonin rank, chose Tobirama Senju’s unfinished soul-separation technique, and began preparing to strengthen his soul.
• Kagetsu and Shisui joined Orochimaru’s decisive battle against Iwa, where Shisui defeated Roshi and Kagetsu’s enhanced Red Fire Cannon helped drive Ōnoki’s forces into retreat.
• After Minato destroyed Kannabi Bridge, Hiruzen agreed to peace talks with Iwa and considered returning its Jinchuriki for compensation.
• Kumogakure trained A and Killer B in Hollowfication, while Yugito asked to learn it so she could confront Kagetsu over the Two-Tails’ power.
• Hiruzen chose Orochimaru as Fourth Hokage, and Orochimaru reorganized Konoha’s leadership while assigning the Uchiha to watch Danzō and Root.
• Orochimaru sent Kagetsu, Itachi, Asuma, and Baki to find Mukade in Rōran, where they discovered unusual Natural Energy, an invisible barrier, and regenerating Clay Puppets.
• Mukade watched Kagetsu’s team through screens, while Kagetsu led the group through the shadows to a drainage channel and demanded that Baki explain the mission.
