The small gate of Xavier's Manor.
A black sedan slowly drove out, turned down a small path, and merged onto the main road.
It quickly became part of the flowing traffic, attracting no attention.
"Raven, where are we going?" Rorschach asked, glancing at the middle-aged man driving as he sat in the passenger seat.
"To find someone," Raven replied casually, skillfully maneuvering the steering wheel with the confidence of an experienced driver. "If he's willing to help, we'll be able to find out Shaw's location."
Rorschach was a bit surprised to hear this.
It sounded like the person Raven was looking for was quite remarkable, someone with significant influence.
However, the Black King also had a very powerful background.
It was important to remember that the Hellfire Club wasn't just a mutant organization; it also included ordinary humans.
More precisely, it included influential figures in society.
For instance, Howard Stark had once received an invitation to join the Hellfire Club.
Otherwise, how could the Black King have manipulated the US-Soviet situation and single-handedly orchestrated the Cuban Missile Crisis?
Such feats of controlling events with a mere gesture weren't achievable solely through the efforts of a few mutants.
The Black King's ability to locate the CIA's secret mutant base was a prime example.
Therefore, Rorschach remained skeptical about the person Raven mentioned.
"Raven, who are we looking for? Is he reliable?" Rorschach couldn't help but ask for confirmation. It was better to be clear about such matters.
"Don't worry, that guy is one of us," Raven said, tapping the brakes and changing lanes. "He can sense our kind."
Sense other mutants? Rorschach blinked, and a name flashed through his mind.
"Are you talking about Caliban?" Of all the mutants with such a special ability, Caliban was the only one Rorschach could think of.
"You know him too?" Raven seemed genuinely surprised.
It really was Caliban!
"No, I've only heard of him by chance," Rorschach shook his head, but his mind was put at ease.
Caliban could sense the presence of other mutants. Just as Raven said, if Caliban was willing to help, they could immediately find Shaw's location.
This would naturally confirm whether Shaw had discovered their hiding place.
"That guy is that famous?" Raven was slightly surprised but didn't think much of it.
Rorschach himself was part of their circle, so hearing whispers about his fellow mutants wasn't unusual.
"Raven, since you know Caliban, Charles must know him too, right?"
"Then why hasn't Charles ever mentioned Caliban during his recent recruitment of mutants?"
Rorschach found this point rather odd.
Since Caliban lived not far from his old home, given Charles's personality, there was no reason for him to overlook the man.
"It's precisely because Charles knows Caliban that Charles knows Caliban would never join us."
"That guy never trusts anyone, only cares about money, and is very sensitive. You'll understand when you meet him." Raven briefly explained to Rorschach.
Rorschach didn't ask further.
He only remembered this character appearing once in Apocalypse, and his mutant-sensing ability had a range limit, seemingly only twenty-five miles.
He wasn't a particularly important character. Rorschach couldn't be bothered to pay much attention.
After driving through four main roads, Raven finally parked the car slowly outside a bar.
"When I was very young, before I met Charles, I relied on my own abilities, transforming into all sorts of people and stealing from various places."
"Money, food, clothes, I stole everything, but even so, I was often hungry and frequently had to sleep in the sewers."
"Once, while sleeping in the sewer, I met Caliban, who was also sleeping there... but even then, Caliban never trusted me." Raven recounted to Rorschach as they walked towards the bar entrance.
"Pathetic," Rorschach sighed, genuinely.
He wasn't sure if he was referring to Raven or Caliban.
"So Rorschach, when we meet Caliban later, let me do the talking, okay?" Mystique made such a request to Rorschach.
Rorschach naturally had no objections; he was clear on who was in charge of this operation.
From beginning to end, Rorschach's objective had been very clear: he was just trying his luck to see if he could trigger a mission, and that was all.
The two reached a happy agreement.
They walked into the bar.
People were drinking and chatting in twos and threes at various tables, creating a lively atmosphere.
Rorschach and Raven walked to the bar as if no one else was there.
A man was sitting there, drinking listlessly, making desultory conversation.
"What can I get for you two?"
Behind the bar, a young man, around thirty years old, looking sharp and capable, greeted Rorschach and Raven with a professional smile.
"Where's Henry?"
Raven frowned slightly, unable to help asking.
The bartender in front of her wasn't the one she was familiar with, and she wasn't sure if this person knew about Caliban.
"Ah, you're a regular here. Well, Henry is my uncle. He's sick, so I'm filling in for him for a few days."
The young bartender explained to Raven.
"Is Henry alright?"
Raven didn't think too much about it and asked about Henry's condition with concern.
"Let's hope he's okay. Poor uncle. He must have pulled his back. He keeps saying it's nothing serious, but you know, at his age, he's not a young man like me anymore."
The young man shrugged, teasing his uncle.
"Poor Henry, may God bless him." After a few pleasantries with the bartender, Raven got down to business. "Is he here?"
"Who are you talking about?"
The young bartender clearly paused, not knowing who "he" referred to.
"Let them in!"
At this moment, a big man came out from an entrance in the back and called out to the young bartender.
It was obvious that Caliban already knew Raven had arrived.
Raven nodded to the young bartender, then walked with Rorschach towards the entrance leading to the back.
The young bartender naturally didn't stop them.
"Another whiskey."
At this point, the man sitting at the bar waved his empty glass at the young bartender.
Rorschach, who was getting up to leave, subconsciously glanced at the man.
This glance was no small matter; Rorschach realized this was actually a person of great importance.
Howard Stark!
