• Yao Wan rejected the Yan Clan’s initial offer and demanded three Heavenly Flames and a Burning Flame Secret Realm slot in exchange for the Fire Separation Method.
• Yao Wan refused to let the Yao Clan arrange her marriage and announced a tournament in which the winner could challenge her, while Xiao Yan and Zi Yan found the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit in the relic.
• Xiao Yan protected Zi Yan from the Heaven Demon Phoenix Clan, then joined her on Ancient Dragon Island as she absorbed the fruit and became a Dragon Phoenix.
• Yao Wan demonstrated the Fire Separation Method to the Yan Clan, separated seeds from its five Heavenly Flames, and received access to the Flame Mountain Heart.

They returned to the Northwest Continent, where Xiao Yan reunited with his family and Medusa, and Yao Wan offered to help care for Xiao Xiao.

• At the Clan Tablet Plaza, Xiao Yan defeated Lei Xiao, eight Lei Clan geniuses, and Yao Tian before winning his final battle against Yao Wan.
• After their fight, Xiao Yan kissed Yao Wan, and she confirmed she would honor her promise as they recovered together.
• Yao Dan proposed that Xiao Yan and the remnants of the Xiao Clan join the Yao Clan, and Yao Wan arranged for Xiao Yan to cultivate there before the Ancient Clan Heavenly Tomb opened.
• Xiao Yan refined the Green Lotus Calamity Pill, but Yao Feng attacked him over accusations that he had stolen the Yao Clan’s Glass Body Sculpting Art.
• Yao Wan crippled Yao Feng and punished his accomplices, then took Xiao Yan to the Immaculate Divine Spring, where he absorbed the Red Lotus Karma Fire and advanced to Six Star Dou Zun.
• Yao Wan agreed to accompany Xiao Yan to the Northwest Continent, where he introduced her to the Xiao Clan as his partner and reunited with Medusa and Xiao Xiao.

Xiao Yan and Yao Wan traveled to the Ancient Clan, where Yao Wan fought Xun'er before the group entered the Heavenly Tomb. There, Yao Wan reached Half-Saint and helped Xiao Yan inherit the Xiao Clan bloodline, leaving him cultivating while she and Xun'er recovered.

• Xiao Yan and Yao Wan returned to the Yao Clan, then traveled to the Ancient Clan, where Yao Wan declared Xiao Yan her clan’s son-in-law.
• Xun’er greeted Xiao Yan, challenged Yao Wan at the Coming-of-Age Ceremony, and lost after Yao Wan broke through her defenses and knocked her unconscious.
• Xun’er secured Xiao Yan a Heavenly Tomb slot, and Xiao Yan, Yao Wan, Xun’er, and Yao Ling entered the tomb and gathered Energy Cores.
• The group reached the third level and met Xiao Xuan, who welcomed Yao Wan and Xun’er and agreed to help Yao Wan obtain Half-Saint Energy Cores.
• Yao Wan absorbed the Half-Saint cores and broke through to Half-Saint, then Xiao Yan joined his soul with hers to help her reach Heaven Realm Great Perfection.

Xiao Yan strengthened his clan mark, reunited with the Eight Clans, and returned to Starfall Pavilion, where Yao Wan struggled with her feelings for him. After learning the fair might hold clues to the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame Fragment Map, Xiao Yan and his companions arrived at Space Town.

• Xiao Yan broke through to One Star Dou Zun, completed the nine-stroke clan mark, and learned from Xiao Xuan that the Hun Clan threatened the Stone Clan and the Spirit Devouring Clan might rival the great clans.
• Yao Wan demonstrated Demonic Qi to Xiao Xuan, then used her Heaven Realm Soul to defeat two Hun Clan Dou Shengs while Xiao Yan killed Soul Cliff and Soul Li.
• Gu Yuan met Xiao Yan and warned him about the hardships of his relationship with Xun'er and the danger surrounding the Tou She Ancient God Jade.
• At the Heavenly Tomb’s exit, the Eight Clans learned Xiao Yan had a Heaven Realm Soul, while Xun'er and Yao Wan revealed their closeness to him.
• Nalan Yanran returned to Starfall Pavilion and confronted Yao Wan, who fled before Nalan could punish her, then secretly listened as Xiao Yan and Nalan became intimate.
