Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan followed the Lingxi Tribe back to their settlement. The tribe was nestled in a valley within the grasslands, surrounded by green mountains, with a clear stream winding through the center. Houses built from massive stones and timber were scattered in an orderly fashion throughout the valley, and the tribespeople, known for their hospitality, cast curious glances at Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan upon seeing them.
The men of the Lingxi Tribe led the siblings to the largest stone house, which served as the tribe's council hall. One of the men introduced them to an elderly man with white hair: "Elder, these are the two young friends who stepped in at the critical moment to help us repel those mysterious figures."
The Elder looked Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan up and down, his eyes filled with approval: "Many thanks to you both. Though you are young, you are incredibly brave and kind. May I ask where you come from, and why you appeared in this grassland?"
Chen Siyu recounted their experiences briefly. After listening, the Elder frowned slightly: "I see. It seems your adventures have been quite legendary. As for those mysterious figures, we have been investigating their origins, but we have had no leads. However, recently, there have been frequent abnormal fluctuations in spiritual energy around the tribe, as if someone is secretly watching our every move."
Chen Ruixuan asked curiously: "Elder, have you discovered any specific clues?"
The Elder pondered for a moment and said: "A few days ago, a tribesman out hunting discovered some strange footprints at the edge of the grassland. The shape of the prints was peculiar, not like those left by any ordinary creature. Furthermore, a strange dark aura lingered near the footprints, similar to the aura carried by those mysterious figures."
Chen Siyu's heart stirred: "A dark aura? That sounds related to Lingdie, whom we encountered in the sea of flowers; she also exuded a strange, eerie vibe. Perhaps these mysterious figures have some connection to the forces behind her."
Upon hearing this, the Elder's expression turned grave: "If that is true, the situation is likely more complex than we thought. We have heard the name Lingdie before; she is a mysterious figure in the Misty Forest who has always acted alone and behaved in strange ways. But we never imagined she might be linked to the mysterious figures attacking us."
To find more clues, Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan decided to explore the area around the tribe. They followed the edge of the grassland in search of the strange footprints the Elder had mentioned, and sure enough, they discovered some oddly shaped prints beside a patch of grass. These footprints were triangular, and each one was deeply embedded in the ground, as if the creature that left them was exceptionally heavy.
Chen Ruixuan crouched down to examine the footprints carefully and suddenly said: "Sister, look at the soil around these prints; it seems to have been compressed by a powerful force, and this dark aura is so intense."
Chen Siyu nodded. She closed her eyes, attempting to sense if there were any other anomalies nearby. Just then, she felt a faint fluctuation of dark power in the distance. She opened her eyes and pointed ahead: "Younger brother, there seems to be something going on over there. Let's go take a look."
The two followed the direction of the dark power fluctuations until they arrived before a hidden cave. A thin layer of black mist permeated the area around the cave, and a nauseating, putrid stench emanated from within the fog.
Chen Ruixuan covered his nose: "Sister, this place is so eerie. I feel like there's danger here."
Chen Siyu gripped the Five-Colored Ribbon and said: "Since we're already here, let's go in carefully and take a look. We might just find important clues about the mysterious figures."
The two cautiously entered the cave. The light inside was dim, and they could only grope their way forward by the faint light filtering in from the entrance. As they walked, a spacious cavern suddenly appeared ahead. In the center of the cavern stood a massive Black Stone Stele, covered in strange runes that pulsed with an eerie light...
