Ai De Wen entered a pure white world. Before him stood a tightly shut door.
This was his shallow dream, while beyond the door lay the deeper layer.
The greatest difference between the shallow and deep dream layers was that the former still belonged to the Lord of Eternal Nightmare's dream and remained under His surveillance. The latter, however, had been created by Ai De Wen after he comprehended the Lord of Eternal Nightmare's authority. It was a wholly independent dream that belonged entirely to him, one even the Lord of Eternal Nightmare could not touch.
Yet the shallow dream was linked to his brain. Any information within this dream was also known in the real world. The deep dream was different. Like the tightly shut door before him, once it was locked, the information inside became unknown even to the dreamer himself. Unless he retrieved it, he could not use it at all.
Though highly inconvenient, this was for safety's sake. After all, obtaining a power that even the Gods feared while under a god's watchful gaze had never been easy.
But things were different now.
Ai De Wen raised his head and looked at the hollow white glow overhead.
In the past, it had not been empty like this. There had been a strange "sun" there—the eye of the Lord of Eternal Nightmare.
But now it was gone. Clearly, the formation had worked.
"Heh, those black-market merchants can occasionally come up with something pleasantly surprising." Ai De Wen rubbed his hands together and eagerly headed toward the door representing the deep dream. "A dream where no one can spy on me is just too wonder—"
Halfway through his sentence, Ai De Wen's body suddenly stiffened. Then he whirled around and looked behind him.
