Doflamingo attacked the Marines on Punk Hazard and nearly killed Smoker before Kuzan intervened. Austin then appeared behind Kuzan, revealing his connection to Doflamingo as he reunited with Kuzan two years after Kuzan left the Marines.

• Smoker reported Punk Hazard’s poison-gas crisis to Marine Headquarters as Doflamingo arrived and knocked out the Marines.

• Austin asked Kuzan whether he had defected from the Navy, and Kuzan said he could attack without restraint now that he had left.
• Kuzan unleashed Ice Age, freezing the coast and sea, but Austin shattered the ice spreading across his arm.
• Kuzan intensified the fight by draining Haki through the freezing battlefield, and Austin prepared to answer with his space-warping power.

• Kuzan survived Austin's King: Underwater Fall by turning his body to ice, and the two began a second round without using their Devil Fruit abilities.
• Kuzan fought Austin in a bare-knuckle Haki battle for nearly a day but was ultimately left severely wounded.

• Ace and Sabo traveled to Dressrosa after Ace’s two-year confinement, with Sabo investigating Doflamingo’s arms deals and Ace carrying a sword for Austin.
• Newspapers announced an arena event featuring Golden Lion Shiki’s Float-Float Fruit, drawing the Straw Hat Crew and numerous young pirates to Dressrosa.

• Sakazuki told Tsuru, Garp, and Sengoku that the Five Elders had ordered Marines to help the Shichibukai.
• Tsuru and Sengoku considered whether the World Government wanted to protect the balance of power or use the situation to target Austin.
• The Marines’ report revealed that Luffy’s crew, Law, the Revolutionary Army, and traces of Ace were in Dressrosa, and Tsuru concluded Doflamingo had almost no chance of winning.

Austin saw Cipher Pol agents, including Rob Lucci, arrive in Dressrosa while Ryokugyu visited him and was abruptly sent flying. Ace and Sabo reunited with Austin, who received Roger’s sword and pointed them toward the arena, where Luffy’s crew entered the contest for the Float-Float Fruit.

• Masked Cipher Pol agents, including the bandaged Rob Lucci, arrived in Dressrosa as Austin watched from a restaurant.
• Ryokugyu offered Austin chrysanthemum tea grown from his Woods-Woods Fruit ability, and Austin snapped him away to the foot of King's Highland.

Sabo and Ace arrived at Dressrosa’s indestructible Coliseum Arena as the tournament’s contestants gathered and the first elimination battle began. Ace, disguised in a red coat and handlebar mustache, slept through the fighting until the arena was nearly empty.

• Sabo tested the Coliseum Arena wall with Dragon Claw Fist, but it remained unharmed, and he stopped Ace from attacking it.
• King Luffy registered as Lucy, while Zoro got lost and Sanji wandered off; Cavendish complained that Austin had stolen the world’s attention from him.
• Ace, Sabo, Lucci, Zoro, Burgess, Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Rebecca, and other contestants gathered as Gazz introduced Augur and announced the tournament.

Ace defeated Burgess in the tournament and joined Sabo and King Luffy afterward. The three brothers agreed that Sabo would receive the Float-Float Fruit, no matter which of them won it.

• Austin and Gazz introduced the final two contestants, and Burgess revealed himself as a Blackbeard Pirate.
• Ace’s disguise came off, revealing his identity as Fire Fist Ace, and Burgess taunted him about the defeat of the Whitebeard Pirates.
• Ace struck Burgess with a powerful Haki-clad, flame-wreathed punch, knocking him unconscious and winning the match.
• King Luffy found Ace and Sabo, and Ace explained that he had entered the competition to help Sabo obtain the Float-Float Fruit.

• Ryokugyu visited Doflamingo at the royal palace, where Doflamingo bragged that the World Government had bowed to Austin’s strength.
• Ryokugyu warned Doflamingo that the Marines had long called for abolishing the Shichibukai system and mentioned that CP0’s agents were likely heading to the colosseum.
• Austin watched the second elimination round and used Observation Haki to examine Elizabello II’s King Punch.

• Ryokugyu’s forest powers pinned Luo down, and he stopped Doflamingo from killing him, saying he would take the former Shichibukai into custody.

Ryokugyu stopped Doflamingo from killing Law, but a colossal ship pulled by Sea Kings arrived near Green Bit, carrying Sade, the [Dark Sun] experiment. Doflamingo, Ryokugyu, Caesar, Law, and the Straw Hat Crew reacted to the arrival as Caesar identified the experiment as Austin’s ancient Sun God.

• Doflamingo released Law after Ryokugyu warned him off, then explained that his Donquixote Family had once ruled Dressrosa.
• A distant rumble shook Green Bit as the sea grew violent and the sky darkened; Law teleported Caesar toward the Thousand Sunny while Doflamingo pursued them.
• A tsunami and several super-colossal Sea Kings appeared, dragging an enormous ship toward the island.
• Ryokugyu recognized the approaching monster as Sade, the [Dark Sun] experiment, and Doflamingo admitted he had helped fund and supply the project.

Sade ordered the supergiant Sea Kings to attack the Thousand Sunny, Doflamingo, and Ryokugyu as they fled toward Green Bit. On the island, Austin met Leo and the Tontatta, then looked toward the approaching chaos and called the people involved unruly children who needed a lesson.

• Sade spotted the Thousand Sunny and ordered a Sea King to attack after recognizing its crew, Doflamingo, and Ryokugyu.
• Doflamingo and Ryokugyu rushed toward Green Bit while the Thousand Sunny used Mini Coup de Burst to escape the Sea King's attack.
• Sanji demanded that Caesar explain the connection between the Sea King and his father, Austin, but Luo stopped him from pressing Caesar.
• Austin grabbed Leo on Green Bit, claimed he was a mutated Tontatta, and convinced the gullible Tontatta with a display of strength.

Zoro and Kuina clashed in a fierce sword duel while Rebecca realized how outmatched she was. At Green Bit, Austin stopped Sade’s Island Gun with Armament Haki and confronted the rebellious creation he called his child.

• Zoro recognized Kuina as the Mysterious Female Swordsman and challenged her to a duel.
• Zoro and Kuina exchanged powerful sword attacks, and their clash left Rebecca aware of the gap between her strength and theirs.
• Zoro asked Kuina why she had become Doflamingo’s subordinate, and she denied that she was one.
• Austin appeared before Doflamingo and the others as Sade’s island-sized fist descended toward them.
