- The East African colony defeated the Koge Tribe, and Odebiou led its survivors toward the Kingdom of Karagwe after claiming the gods had shown them a Promised Land.
- Mark Virian bought Armenian women from Azam, and the colony distributed them as rewards to Chinese immigrants serving in the purge campaign.
- Ernst secured permission to move ethnic groups from Austria-Hungary to East Africa and planned large estates producing food and cash crops.
- Ernst developed Mbeya’s coal, iron, and gold deposits, expanded road construction, and opened the machinery-powered Bagamoyo Flour Mill.
- Roy Li and Hechingen Military Academy students rescued Maximilian I from execution in Mexico and brought him to East Africa, where he chose to remain.
- Eastern Bantu migrations destabilized the northwestern kingdoms, and after war and plague devastated the region, the colony sealed its borders to keep the disease out.
- Ernst expanded shipping, reorganized the colony’s districts, built Mtwara Port, and arranged support for Paraguayan women and children arriving as immigrants.
- The colony upgraded its arms and coastal defenses, while Ernst recruited settlers from southern Germany and Maximilian I decided to stay in East Africa for three to five years.
