Might Duy and Mu Yue walked into the house together.
"Dad, welcome home," Might Guy said. Then, when he saw what Might Duy was wearing, he froze for a moment.
Might Duy was green on top of green—no, he was wearing a green Chunin flak jacket!
It was easy to recognize, since Might Duy usually wore nothing but a green jumpsuit. With an extra vest on him, it was obvious at a glance.
"Dad, could that incredibly amazing, incredibly youthful thing you mentioned be..." Might Guy's eyes grew brighter and brighter as he spoke, and his voice became more excited.
He had thought of a possibility, one that filled him with immense joy.
"That's right, exactly what you're thinking!" Might Duy said with a hearty laugh.
Might Duy gave himself a thumbs-up, flashing two rows of gleaming white teeth as he laughed brightly at Might Guy.
"I'm no longer Konoha Genin Might Duy. I'm Konoha Chunin Might Duy!"
"Dad, you finally became a Chunin. No one can call you an eternal Genin anymore!" Might Guy excitedly rushed forward and hugged Might Duy.
Might Duy hugged Might Guy back. Both of them wept tears of joy, looking incredibly emotional.
Might Guy was happy because no one could call his father an eternal Genin ever again, while Might Duy was happy because he could provide Might Guy with even greater support.
Obito scratched his head, somewhat unable to understand the scene. In his mind, a Chunin was not all that impressive—Kakashi had become a Chunin when he was six.
Still, Obito could tell that Might Guy and Might Duy, father and son, shared a very close bond.
Watching the deeply affectionate father-and-son scene, Shisui thought of the short blade he carried close to his body and did not feel too envious.
