PS: Since I couldn't come up with reasonable Third and Fourth Forms, the previous chapter's reward was changed to Spirit Punch. (A detailed explanation is in the author's notes.)
Gathering energy to condense power... Skills drawn from high-level scrolls really are impressive. Mu Yue thought after organizing his memories.
Mu Yue had little impression of Spirit Punch from the Pokémon anime, but he remembered its effects in the games.
In the Pokémon games, Spirit Punch was a Fighting-type move with a power rating of 150. Its effect was to gather energy first, then launch an attack.
After the system adapted it to the world of Naruto, it worked by using a special technique called Energy Gathering to condense all of one's Chakra and physical strength into a fist, then unleashing an ultimate punch.
From Mu Yue's perspective, Spirit Punch could be said to bring the principle of overwhelming force to its fullest.
There was nothing more to it—it was simply a taijutsu technique that fused all of one's strength together to unleash maximum power.
However, the need to gather energy made timing extremely important when using Spirit Punch. In a one-on-one battle, one had to find a way to create an opportunity to gather energy.
It was less of a problem in group battles, since teammates could help hold the enemy back.
Mu Yue took out Might Guy's training plan and added Spirit Punch to it.
The essence of Spirit Punch was not actually the punch, but the "spirit energy"—in other words, the method of gathering energy.
With sufficient mastery, one could even use things like Spirit Kick and Spirit Leg.
At the end of the third semester, Mu Yue went to the Ninja Academy. It had been more than half a year since he had last taught there.
