"Good morning," Kakashi replied, then glanced at Obito.

Obito could only reluctantly greet Kakashi as well, lest Nohara Rin think he lacked manners.

After exchanging greetings, Kakashi did not chat much with the two of them and, to Obito's surprise, left directly.

Anko and the other two took the opportunity to slip away as well.

Nohara Rin also did not invite Kakashi as Obito had expected.

Seeing Kakashi, Anko, and the others leave directly, she continued walking with Obito toward the flower shop.

"That's it?" Obito was both surprised and delighted.

If Kakashi had suddenly joined them, he definitely would not have been able to get closer to Nohara Rin today. Dealing with Kakashi would take up most of his attention.

Obito had wanted to ask why Nohara Rin had not called Kakashi over, but he suddenly shut his mouth.

Obito was worried that Nohara Rin had simply forgotten to ask Kakashi, and that his reminder would make her remember.

They had only just parted ways with Kakashi. At a ninja's traveling speed, they could catch up to him in seconds.

"Was it something important?"

"Uh, probably not." Obito felt that even if Kakashi really joined them, it could not be called important.

After all, the worst-case scenario was wasting a day. Both he and Nohara Rin were still young, only thirteen years old. Obito had plenty of time to grow closer to Nohara Rin.
