"Connecting your chakra threads to mine? You've improved, Kankuro."

"To receive praise from Sasori of the Red Sands is truly an honor."

After a moment of disorientation, what reached Sasori's ears was not his companions' voices, but a rather strange conversation.

The conversation itself was perfectly normal, just ordinary mutual flattery.

What was strange was that one of the voices was Sasori's own, yet Sasori had not said a word.

"Huh?! There's another Sasori? Is that a clone?"

Kankuro had been about to release a puppet scroll when he spotted the Sasori who had suddenly appeared on the battlefield. Startled, he immediately darted backward.

Reanimated Sasori frowned slightly as he looked at the suddenly appearing "himself." "What kind of trick is this?"

"Who knows? We'll find out if we blow him up."

Deidara said with an unconcerned grin.

Boom!

Kankuro quickly activated the puppet marked with Sasori's name, and a puppet nearly identical to Sasori appeared before everyone.

"Interesting."

Sasori crossed his arms and studied both sides with interest. He had just crossed over and immediately encountered two versions of himself. That was something.

"You're Kankuro, right? Are you with Naruto's side?"

Sasori asked.

Sasori had two objectives on this trip. One was to help Naruto Uzumaki fight the war; the other was to collect useful technology or materials.

Judging by Naruto Uzumaki's earlier reaction, the Sasori of Naruto Uzumaki's world was Naruto's enemy. That meant Kankuro, as "Sasori's" enemy, was quite likely an ally.

Besides, Naruto Uzumaki was a Konoha ninja, and Sasori had seen several ninjas wearing Konoha uniforms in Kankuro's group.

"Obviously. Who the hell are you?"

Kankuro kept both hands on his puppet controls, watching Sasori warily.
