Just as Lupin was starting to feel a toothache.

"Black, so you were here."

Another voice came from outside the compartment door.

Lupin looked over and saw two girls standing at the doorway, peering inside.

"Oh... you're here? Come in, then."

Black waved Hermione and Cassandra into the compartment.

Then he helped them stow their luggage.

Once Black had finished, he directly pulled them over to sit in the seats he had occupied earlier.

Then, without the slightest hesitation, he squeezed himself down between the two girls...

The way he had one girl tucked under each arm made Lupin's eyelid twitch slightly...

Fortunately, the compartment seats were quite large.

Even with three people sitting side by side, there was still plenty of room.

"They're my good friends, Hermione Granger and Cassandra Worley."

"Hermione, Cassandra, this is our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for this term—Professor Remus Lupin!"

"He's not like Quirrell or Lockhart. He's someone with real ability."

Black introduced everyone enthusiastically.

When Cassandra and Hermione learned that the man sitting opposite them was actually a professor,

they suddenly felt rather restless.

In perfect unspoken agreement, they both wanted to throw Black, who was sitting between them, out of the compartment.

After all, having a professor see Black taking such liberties with them... was still rather embarrassing.

Unfortunately, Black was absurdly strong.

After struggling for a while, the two girls could only helplessly accept reality...

Lupin stared in surprise at these two young witches from Gryffindor and Slytherin respectively.

In other words, this little Black fellow not only had two girlfriends,

but they were girlfriends from two rival Houses?

And most importantly, they actually seemed to get along very well?
