Cassandra grew up as an exceptionally gifted and proud child. Accustomed to surpassing her peers in every field, she found few people worthy of her attention until she witnessed Black confound Ollivander, an elite wandmaker; his apparent superiority deeply unsettled her. 37

Before beginning at Hogwarts, Cassandra demanded a custom-made wand after Black’s wand selection drew Ollivander’s attention. She later found an unusually suitable, freshly made and unvarnished wand whose origin Ollivander could not identify. 40 56
