"Young lady, how can your thoughts be so filthy?" Black poked Cassandra's little head. "What did you think I was trying to do?"
"Filthy? You don't seem to be in any position to use that word, do you?" Cassandra glared at Black through gritted teeth.
"Cough, cough..." Black rubbed his nose awkwardly. "Don't worry about such details..."
"Hmph..." Cassandra turned her head away angrily, unwilling to pay him any attention.
Her cheeks were still a little sore.
"So, are you coming or not?" Black asked.
"I'm coming!" Cassandra huffily continued following behind Black.
Black stopped in front of an oil painting.
The painting depicted a dining table.
On one of the plates on the table sat several pears.
Black reached out a finger and lightly scratched the pear in the middle.
Cassandra then watched in surprise as the pear in the painting trembled as though it were ticklish.
Immediately afterward, the wall behind the painting gave a click.
Then a doorknob emerged from the pear.
Black grabbed the knob and gave it a gentle pull.
A door opened with ease.
"Th-this... what place is this?" Cassandra asked curiously.
She had never been here before.
"Welcome to my favorite place... the Hogwarts kitchen!"
Black happily ducked through the doorway.
Cassandra hurried after him.
"Wow... so many House-elves!" Cassandra could not help exclaiming.
Though she came from a pure-blood family and had House-elves at home, this was indeed her first time seeing so many House-elves gathered together at work.
"Aha, Palmer, good evening! Gis, your roast chicken is delicious tonight! Bard, be careful washing dishes from up there..."
Walking ahead, Black greeted every House-elf he encountered with practiced ease.
The moment they noticed Black entering, the House-elves all surged toward him with excited faces.
"Oh! It's the honorable and great Mr. Green!"
