Everywhere they passed, thunderous booms rang out, the ground shook violently, and a dragon of earth rose beneath the horses' hooves before vanishing into the darkness.

Kevin and Maria, trapped in the town of Innsmouth, had also run into serious trouble.

Having failed several times to find them, the fish-men grew increasingly frenzied. They charged blindly into the surrounding shadows, tearing away whatever covered them, determined to turn the world upside down if that was what it took to dig out the two rats.

The monsters' venting escalated further. Two fish-men smashed into a house and pounced on the dark, skinny boy crouching in the corner, his mouth hanging open in shock.

Then, a pair of webbed claws each seized one of the boy's legs and pulled with savage force. His small body split in half from the bottom up.

Wriggling intestines, colorful chunks of organs, and blood splattered across the floor.

The two fish-men each stuffed half of the boy's corpse into their mouths. Their sharp teeth snapped viciously, grinding flesh and bone to pulp.

After swallowing most of the corpse, the two fish-men began fighting over the scraps scattered around them. They grappled all the way out onto the street, spreading the stench of blood everywhere.

It was like a fuse thrown into a powder keg. The fish-men, already emanating brutality, immediately had their eyes fill with bloodshot veins.

Lured by flesh and blood, some monsters that could no longer restrain themselves began crazily smashing into nearby homes, dragging out the residents and tearing them apart to eat.

The chaos spread uncontrollably in every direction. Chewing, tearing, and pleading rose and fell one after another.

Oil lamps lit by some residents to protect themselves were knocked over, setting nearby houses ablaze. Thick, choking smoke rolled toward them.
