After asking for someone's temporary address, Kevin helplessly knocked on the door.

"What are you here for?!"

As the door was pulled open, Ada's profile appeared with a hint of chilliness, while a flicker of panic surfaced in her eyes.

"Did Raiden Ryoma's mission mention anything about rescuing Ouma Kuro?"

The blunt question startled Ada. Realizing she had been exposed, she did not know how to answer for a moment.

"Looks like it's been confirmed that he's completely dead. There's no need for a rescue at all..."

"And if he were really alive, you should theoretically have been able to contact him immediately."

Understanding filled Kevin's eyes. He then held the door that was about to close and smiled somewhat self-mockingly.

"We're already this familiar. Is there really any need to keep hiding things?"

"Since none of us are exactly saints, how about helping me do something pretty immoral?"

"I found the laboratory at Tennoz First High School. Once it's done, you can copy the materials inside however you like. What do you say?"

Though Ada was somewhat displeased by his strictly businesslike attitude, it also put her mind greatly at ease.

"Go on. Just how immoral is it?"

Kevin pressed a hand to his forehead and sighed, seeming to carry an unspeakable sense of guilt.

"The kind that could make smoke rise..."

"Kick down a widow's door, use cruel reality to shatter her psychological defenses, crush her fantasies, and force her to turn against her son, daughter, and cousin..."

"Right, and drag her into a sweatshop too..."

Without needing further explanation, Ada had already guessed what was going on. Out of a woman's natural sympathy, she even began to pity the woman who would soon become the victim.
