Modifying the Plot, Tang San Kept Vomiting Blood
Male lead. There are books of the same type in the synopsis. Female lead.
Brain Storage
"Changing a single word in the plot can alter reality?"
Ye Fan had been transported here for less than a second when the Plot Modification System arrived.
And, as usual, his parents were both dead, and he started with nothing but bare walls.
Systems were pretty competitive these days too.
"How do I modify it?"
The system panel displayed the current plot.
Ye Fan lay on the bed, starving. His family was so poor that they only had one Copper Soul Coin...
Notice: You may modify one character within it.
For example, change "lie" to "stand," "bed" to "ground," or "only" to "none"...
Ye Fan: ...
"Your system isn't a good person. Why are you only thinking about hurting me?"
After thinking for a moment, he changed the character for "copper" into "gold."
The only Copper Soul Coin by his bed flashed with golden light and became a Gold Soul Coin.
He quickly picked it up, surprise in his eyes. It was his first time dealing with a system, so he was still unaccustomed to it.
Ye Fan asked the system, "Can anything be modified?"
"Give me a plot entry."
"Ye Fan is a person. I want to change 'person' into 'god.'"
The impact is too great. Unable to modify.
"What does that mean?"
You have three basic modification attempts per day. Modifications with relatively minor impact, such as this one, are unrestricted and may be made freely.
The author had specifically returned to explain that three free basic modification attempts refreshed each day; it did not mean you could only make three modifications a day.
However, modifications with major impact could not be made.
In addition, each modification could earn one point. Using points for modifications could reduce the restrictions. Points could also be used to exchange for prizes in the Points Shop.
The three free attempts could not modify anything related to strength. At the very least, he had to use a minor restriction-reduction modification attempt before he could modify such things.
Ye Fan finally gained a preliminary understanding of the system's abilities.
Although there were restrictions on what he could modify, this cheat was still powerful.
"Still, isn't three points a day a little too few?"
After the plot was altered, he would receive all kinds of rewards, including but not limited to points. The greater the alteration, the greater the reward.
Modifications included four categories: replacement, deletion, addition, and swapping.
New user reward: one minor restriction-reduction modification attempt for each of the four categories.
Ye Fan could not worry about all that right now.
He first took the Gold Soul Coin and bought some food in Holy Soul Village to fill his stomach.
"Xiao Fan, are you there? Grandpa's here to pick you up."
The voice of Old Jack, Holy Soul Village's village chief, rang out from outside.
Only then did Ye Fan remember that today was the day they would awaken their martial souls.
He walked outside.
At a glance, he saw the little old man leaning on a cane.
Old Jack wore a kind smile.
There was also a child dressed much like Ye Fan.
From those mature eyes, Ye Fan determined that this was Tang San. There could not possibly be a third transmigrator in tiny Holy Soul Village.
The two lived close by, so Old Jack brought them together.
"I heard you found a Gold Soul Coin at home? With that Gold Soul Coin, your days ahead will be much better."
Ye Fan nodded. This was the explanation he had given others when he spent that Gold Soul Coin earlier. Something appearing out of nowhere needed an explanation.
"Let's go. I'll take you to awaken your martial souls."
Along the way, Old Jack continually explained knowledge about martial souls. Tang San listened with great interest.
But Ye Fan had known it all already. He was still studying the system's modification abilities.
Tang San had just drunk a bowl of porridge when Old Jack took him away to awaken his martial soul...
One of today's three basic attempts had already been used. Two remained.
Ye Fan tried modifying another character.
Modification complete. Tang San, who had been chatting and laughing with Old Jack, suddenly froze.
Old Jack became somewhat puzzled.
"Little San, what's wrong?"
The next second, Tang San went "pfft" and spewed out a mouthful of blood.
"Little San!"
Old Jack instantly panicked, his face changing drastically.
"What's going on?"
Tang San braced his hands against his knees and violently spat out another mouthful of blood.
His mouth felt incredibly awful.
It felt as awful as if he had just drunk a bowl of blood.
"Tang San, you aren't about to die, are you?"
"I remember when my grandpa died, he spat out a few mouthfuls of blood, then stopped breathing!"
Ye Fan hurriedly twisted the knife.
For a moment, Tang San felt the world spin around him, as though he really was about to die.
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
Old Jack said to Ye Fan, "Hurry and find Tang San's father."
"Okay!"
Ye Fan answered and quickly ran toward the little house where Tang San and Tang Hao lived.
At the same time, he shouted as he ran.
"Uncle Tang! Uncle Tang! Tang San is dead!"
"Tang San is dead!"
Tang Hao was brooding sadly inside the house. When he heard the words "Tang San is dead," he instantly snapped to attention.
With a single stride, Tang Hao shot out of the house and arrived before Ye Fan, grabbing him by the collar.
"What happened?"
"How did Tang San die?"
Ye Fan pointed ahead and quickly explained what had just happened.
"Tang San is over there vomiting blood like crazy!"
"He's about to die!"
Tang Hao asked no further questions. Carrying Ye Fan, he swiftly rushed toward where Tang San was vomiting blood.
At this point, Old Jack could no longer spare any thought for his dislike of Tang Hao.
"You're here."
"Tang San keeps vomiting blood. I'd say he's thrown up at least a bowlful."
"You only get one bowl of blood from killing a chicken."
"Tang San might really be dying."
Tang Hao could not care about what Old Jack was saying.
He swiftly circulated his Soul Power to examine Tang San's body.
Yet he found that Tang San's body seemed to have no problems.
It was as though he had simply drunk a bowl of blood and vomited it back out.
In fact, Tang Hao's judgment was completely correct. Tang San had indeed drunk a bowl of blood and then thrown it up.
Ye Fan had just changed the character for "porridge" into "blood."
Tang San had just drunk a bowl of blood when Old Jack took him away to awaken his martial soul...
After drinking a bowl of blood, it would have been strange if he did not feel sick enough to vomit.
Tang Hao gently patted Tang San's chest, wanting to help him recover...
Ye Fan casually changed "gently" into "heavily."
Tang Hao heavily patted Tang San's chest, wanting to help him recover...
Tang Hao reached out and placed his hand on Tang San's chest, preparing to pat him lightly.
Suddenly, his strength increased sharply.
Bang!
With one palm strike—
Tang San went "pfft" and spewed out another mouthful of blood.
This time, it was not the blood he had drunk. What he spat out was entirely his own.
After that mouthful, all color instantly drained from Tang San's face.
His little face turned waxy yellow.
"Little San!"
Old Jack cried out in alarm.
"Tang Hao, what are you doing?!"
"Are you trying to beat Tang San to death?"
Old Jack yanked Tang Hao away and asked Tang San worriedly,
"Little San, how are you? Do you need to see a doctor?"
Tang Hao stared at his left hand in utter confusion.
His strength had clearly been very light. How had he suddenly used so much force?
He once again used his Soul Power to examine Tang San's body.
He instantly sensed that Tang San had suffered severe internal injuries.
All from that palm strike.
Tang Hao regretted it beyond measure. He wanted nothing more than to slap himself across the face.
The old book keeps the same pace, and there's plenty to read.
