Background

Minato serves as Konoha’s Fourth Hokage during an era of shifting village alliances, internal conspiracies, and escalating Tailed Beast conflicts. At a memorial for Konoha’s fallen, he publicly honors the dead, arranges compensation for surviving families, and ensures orphaned children receive pensions through the orphanage system. 1

He is married to Kushina Uzumaki and is Naruto’s father. During the Nine-Tails crisis, Minato and Kushina disagree over whether Kushina should die alongside the beast or whether Naruto should become its jinchūriki.
