The Guardians of the Galaxy's ship plunged diagonally into the legion led by four members of Thanos's Black Order, crashing into the battle against the Avengers.
The ship pierced straight through the vessels along its path, blasting a trail of explosions across the sky. Midway through, Drax the Destroyer leaped from the ship and landed on the ground, kicking up an enormous cloud of dust. He roared furiously and charged at everyone ahead of him.
"Damn it! Drax, are you insane? Follow my damn plan!" Star-Lord Peter Quill poked his head out from the falling ship and cursed. Seeing numerous ships in the sky swivel their cannons toward him and fire beams, he hastily ducked back down. When he emerged again, he was already wearing his helmet, firing his blasters continuously at the incoming Thanos army soldiers.
"Let the fun begin!" Rocket Raccoon emerged from a corner of the crashed ship, hefting his newly modified rocket cannon. He hurled several energy plasma bombs in rapid succession, blowing the nearby Thanos army soldiers off their feet.
Groot, who was about the same height as him, kept helping Rocket Raccoon carry ammunition and bombs. Occasionally, he happily tossed a bomb himself. But he had not yet grown into his teenage stage and lacked strength, sometimes throwing them right at Rocket Raccoon's feet and startling him. Rocket Raccoon immediately forbade him from throwing any more bombs.
Mantis poked her head out from a secluded corner and observed the battlefield. On the other side, the Avengers were displaying their power, each using their own methods to deal with Thanos's soldiers just as the Guardians were. The antennae on Mantis's forehead twitched, and her eyes filled with confusion as she called out to Star-Lord Peter Quill:
