"Long time no see, Thanos."
Loki wore a teasing smile as he sat upon Thanos's personal floating throne. He lounged leisurely, leaning to the right, his right elbow resting on the armrest and the back of his right hand supporting his chin as he looked at Thanos with that amused smile.
Thanos's expression turned faintly cold as he looked down imperiously at Loki. Before he could make any move, his subordinates' faces changed dramatically, and they began shouting.
"Loki, get down! That isn't a throne you're qualified to sit on." A guard who had followed Thanos into the command room turned pale and roared furiously.
After entering the mothership, the Black Order had already taken their leave from Thanos's side to mobilize forces and prepare for the next large-scale assault on Asgard. Thus, only a few ordinary guards remained beside Thanos to attend him.
Loki ignored Thanos's guards, maintaining his flawless smile as his gaze met Thanos's.
Loki smiled.
Thanos looked down coldly.
The atmosphere in the command room gradually became suffocating. The guards craned their necks in fury and shouted, about to step forward and drag down the man who dared sit on Thanos's personal throne.
"Stand down." Thanos issued the command in a calm, cold voice.
The guards stiffened. Without the slightest hesitation, their furious expressions gave way as they accepted Thanos's order. Several guards lowered their heads behind him and left the command room.
Once the guards had left, only Loki, Thanos, the brilliant stars, and the deep universe remained in the command room.
"Loki, you failed to fulfill our agreement, yet you still dare appear before me!?" Thanos's voice was calm and cold. He stood in the command room as though he were standing atop a river of stars, his tone mild yet domineering and merciless.
