Brainiac had been observing the Emperor of New Krypton. He had not forgotten that more than a century ago, after Brainiac 7 was killed by He-El, he had briefly contacted He-El.
The contact had not been pleasant. Brainiac had wanted to collect He-El, one of the very few surviving Kryptonians.
It was not until the Guardians of the Universe brought Brainiac into the Oa Star Pan-Stellar Domain Alliance that he learned of He-El's whereabouts.
By then, Brainiac no longer had the ability to collect He-El, this Kryptonian.
Afterward, when he studied the New Krypton created by He-El, Zero and the Mechanical Clan left him utterly astonished.
Perhaps in the eyes of others, New Krypton's Mechanical Clan was merely another ordinary race of intelligent mechanical lifeforms in the universe, nothing truly special.
No matter how one looked at them, the mechanical beings of New Krypton were merely silicon-based lifeforms.
Of course, New Krypton's Mechanical Clan was not the only silicon-based lifeform in the universe. There were many other kinds of life throughout the universe, even lifeforms more wondrous than silicon-based lifeforms. Some even existed as a single individual, so they were not truly rare.
Yet in terms of intelligent life, the Mechanical Clan's silicon-based lifeforms were unique. They possessed a complete system and formidable evolutionary capabilities, traits no other silicon-based lifeforms in this universe possessed.
What was even more special was the inner consciousness, soul, and genetically imprinted elements of the Mechanical Clan. Brainiac had not been able to discern much more.
Because whenever a mechanical being died, it was equivalent to destroying its own genetic information. Even if others found the corpses of the Mechanical Clan, they could not obtain more information from silicon-based lifeforms whose sparks had vanished.
