"Are you talking about me?" He-El looked at Doctor Manhattan.
He-El himself was already an aberrant existence not permitted by the universe. Only by returning to the past and using Parallel Universes to define himself, stabilizing his existence within the universe, had he gained a stable foundational structure and gone on to conquer the entire universe.
He-El was not surprised that Doctor Manhattan was talking about him.
"You are an aberration I have never seen among the convergence of so many Parallel Universes." A trace of curious confusion appeared in Doctor Manhattan's rational, calm eyes as he said,
"You are very special. You are like a universe, but only like one."
In Doctor Manhattan's eyes, He-El was indeed special. It was not merely because his existence had caused this universe to aberrate and produce Parallel Universes.
Among endless Parallel Universes, with nearly infinite possibilities, there would always be certain special causes of aberration that gave birth to even more Parallel Universes.
Thus, while an existence like He-El giving rise to an aberration was somewhat unusual, it was not enough to make Doctor Manhattan find it strange.
What Doctor Manhattan found strange was that he could not see He-El's deeper consciousness.
Doctor Manhattan could see the deeper consciousness of any native life-form in the universe, including matters and true thoughts that even they themselves had never noticed.
But all Doctor Manhattan saw within He-El was a universe that resembled the beginning of existence.
It was as though He-El's body contained an initial universe belonging to him alone, one that existed independently because of him and belonged solely to him.
Doctor Manhattan had never seen such an initial universe before.
Such an initial universe could likewise diversify, giving rise to fifty-two Source Universes, which in turn could produce endless Parallel Universes.
Therefore,
