Chronicle's plot was very simple.
The protagonist, teenage Andrew, was like most shut-ins: introverted, inarticulate, and mildly socially anxious. His father's beatings and scoldings, along with his mother's serious illness, made him wary of everything around him. He became a camera-obsessed boy hiding behind the lens, immersed in his own little world all day.
To help open up Andrew's future, his cousin Matt invited him to a school party.
During the gathering, at Matt's friend Steve's suggestion, the three went on a thrilling cave exploration trip in the wilderness. There, they accidentally came into contact with the radiation from crystals inside the cave and gained the superpower of telekinesis.
That became the dividing line in their lives—intense curiosity and the urge to show off drove the three of them to keep challenging the limits of their abilities. Andrew's boundless creativity made him stand out among his companions and become the star of every gathering.
Unfortunately, the good times did not last. Their growing abilities did not bring happiness. Andrew, unable to control himself, took things further and further. After finishing too quickly from excessive stimulation and embarrassing himself in front of a female classmate, Andrew came to believe that Matt and Steve saw him as a pathetic nobody. His inferiority and sensitivity erupted. While complaining about himself and everyone else amid the clouds, he caused Steve, who had come to comfort him, to be struck dead by lightning. He also developed the belief that he was the ruler at the top of the food chain. When Andrew's mother was nearing death from her illness, Andrew began using telekinesis to rob people. During one robbery, he caused an explosion that injured even himself, ultimately embarking on an irreversible road to destruction.
Now that Chen Hai saw all three of them here,
