"Come, let me see how much power you have." The instant He-El finished speaking, the enormous golden face in the void, half the size of Earth and formed from Jor-El's psychic power, twisted with savage, murderous intent.

The psychic face, half the size of Earth, lunged ferociously at He-El, accompanied by Jor-El's bitter, frenzied howls:

"Why am I not the original!"

"I thought I would keep conquering the sea of stars forever. I thought it would be boundless, but it was too small."

"On every planet where living beings exist, I am there!"

"But I am not the universe!!!"

"I thought I would remain in this universe until every living being within it died, and I perished with them!"

"I became this universe's Dream King, an existence that should have been eternal and undying, until I saw the shackles."

"The universe still shackles me. Do you know how desperately I long to escape it!"

"Why did you separate me from yourself in the first place!!!"

Seething with resentment and the savage resolve to take them both down, Jor-El surged toward He-El. The entire Solar System resembled a ball of thread, with psychic strands connected to living beings throughout the universe extending in from beyond it, gathering together and rushing toward He-El.

Jor-El could not accept it!

He was nothing more than a projected psychic avatar.

He knew how vast He-El's future was, how He-El could witness the sights of any universe, and how powerful He-El would become.

Anything and everything could belong to He-El.
