Hearing He-El's words, Athena could not help but feel dejected. She thought that perhaps New Krypton would no longer need the Olympian Pantheon. She also remembered that she had always merely been an avatar of Athena within God's Domain—nothing more than an avatar.
She had already done her utmost to keep pace with He-El, wanting to do everything for him. All she desired was to follow in his footsteps, then become a being with a free soul and will, able to live on forever.
But the distance He-El had risen was far too great. It was no longer something she could reach.
Even so, Athena still believed she was useful to He-El. She could manage the Divine Realm and the Olympian Pantheon for him, train batch after batch of mages, and protect his New Krypton.
But after dozens of Parallel Universes merged, the Divine Legion and Magic Corps of the Olympian Pantheon had been utterly crushed.
New Krypton's other legions could still be replenished through the merging of Parallel Universes. But the Divine Legion and Magic Corps had been painstakingly built by the Olympian Pantheon over a long period of time. Rebuilding Divine Legion and Magic Corps stronger than before prior to the next merger of Parallel Universes was almost impossible.
The next time would be the end of the Olympian Pantheon.
"The Olympian Pantheon... can't hold on any longer." Athena's heart ached.
