Upon hearing He-El, Trunks carefully examined the shell Cell had shed, then opened the time machine for inspection. Inside, he found not only his own DNA, but also most of the data belonging to Cell's shed shell.
The shed shell's data accounted for a very large portion of it.
"My counterpart from another Parallel Universe is already dead!" Trunks made a shocking deduction. From the DNA and damage he found inside the time machine, he arrived at a fact that stunned him. "He was killed by this monster!"
His counterpart from another Parallel Universe had been killed by the creature that had shed this shell, killed inside the time machine itself. There were even bloodstains inside, carrying a rusty smell.
The monster had not cleaned up the evidence. Instead, it had simply boarded the time machine and arrived in this universe four years before him.
"More than that, this monster is now hiding among Earth's humans." He-El said calmly, "The Red Ribbon Army began collecting data from West City four years ago. Starting from West City, an additional average of seven hundred thousand humans have disappeared every year, leaving only their clothes behind."
He-El knew that Dr. Gero had probably only officially finished creating Android 17 and Android 18 in the present, four years later. That was why Cell had appeared.
He just did not know what Cell would become because of his own existence.
"What?" Trunks was too shocked to remain calm. His lips trembled as he said, "Could it be that because I came to this universe, other Parallel Universes split off? And that monster killed the me from its universe, then used the time machine to come here four years ago?"
