It was not because he thought armor like Iron Man's was powerful, nor because he found that kind of armor cool.

That kind of armor was not actually very powerful, and it consumed enormous manpower, material resources, and supplies. Some basic materials even had to be synthesized personally. Its manufacturing process could be considered complex, precise, and extremely troublesome.

It was nowhere near as convenient or practical as researching his own body and strengthening himself into something like the Hulk.

Of course, when technology eventually reached the level described in The Three-Body Problem—restarting the universe, reducing and raising dimensions, becoming nearly omnipotent—it would no longer be something a simple biological body could compare to.

But reaching that stage was unrealistic for He-El at present. He did not even know how much material and scientific advancement would need to be piled up to achieve such technology.

General Ross was right. Given He-El's current situation, researching biological genes to strengthen himself was indeed highly suitable.

If danger suddenly struck, he could protect himself directly instead of being chased down by Destroyer's laser and having to wait for Atomic Armor to arrive before he could fight back.

But... He-El could only research armor to protect himself.
