The One Behind It All

Inside the Oval Office.

The president's face was dark as water. He suppressed his rage in his eyes, his knuckles white as he gripped the document in his hands so tightly that the pristine paper wrinkled.

"You damned bastards."

The president could no longer hold back. Fury surged skyward as he swept the documents in his hand, along with the pen holder, monitor, and everything else on the desk, onto the floor. He slammed his fists against the desk, shoulders heaving, face flushed as he panted, unable to calm his rage.

Even when competing against other politicians for the presidency and nearly falling victim to their dirty tricks, the president had never been this angry.

"Nearly seventy percent of the congressmen want He-El to pay attention to their districts or their people. Nearly eighty-five percent of them have passively or actively accepted his goodwill and developed favorable feelings toward him. I know everyone has been waiting, waiting to swallow He-El, this enormous cake, rushing in like wolves to divide him up.

"But what are you doing now? He-El has already grown his wings. He has the people's support. Now everyone in the United States knows He-El, but no one knows the president.
