Setting Things Right

One week later.

Western New York State.

The sky was blue with white clouds, and the sun blazed fiercely. The temperature exceeded thirty-six degrees Celsius, while the heat distorted the air above the ground. Lizards and insects chirped beside the highway, their irritating calls made even more grating by the scorching weather.

A convoy of seven vehicles traveled along Highway 6 through the wilderness. Every one of them was a modified, broad, heavy, bulletproof dark-green SUV.

He-El sat comfortably in the back seat of the middle vehicle, leaning against the seat with his eyes closed as though taking a brief rest. Beneath his eyelids, he used the projection of the Shadow Glasses and converted brainwave communication into audio as he received Tony Stark's thanks.

"Thank you, He-El. I owe you again."

Against a black background on He-El's retina, Tony Stark's upper body appeared, sincerely expressing his gratitude.

"Without you, I would never have known that my parents were murdered so cruelly. Everyone thought it was a car accident. I thought so too. Damn it!!!"

As Tony Stark spoke, his eyes filled with moisture, rage, and hatred. Gritting his teeth, he swept everything off his workbench in fury, his chest heaving.

Having seen the video Nick Fury brought him and learned the cause of his parents' deaths, he wanted to kill someone every time he recalled those scenes.

"Tony, that is why I did not show you the video immediately. Hydra is vast and complicated, with countless branch bases. If you try to deal with them alone, you will only exhaust yourself running from one place to another.

Work with Nick. Wipe out every Hydra base in one sweep. Do it for your parents, and for this world. Clear away this evil organization."

He-El spoke through brainwave communication converted into audio.
