Natasha, dressed in loose black combat gear, her short curly hair draped around her face and sunglasses on, entered the Veterans Affairs Office in Brooklyn, Washington.
Passing through the corridor, she arrived at the counseling section. She gently twisted open the counseling room door a crack, lowered her head, and pulled her sunglasses down to the bridge of her nose. Her upturned gaze caught Steve Rogers sitting in a circle with a group of people, taking part in group therapy.
Natasha gave a soft whistle. Steve Rogers, who had been listening with his head lowered as someone shared during therapy, shifted slightly. He raised his head and saw Natasha.
Seeing that Steve Rogers had noticed her, Natasha gently closed the door again, turned around, and sat in a plastic chair against the wall with her arms folded.
Ever since S.H.I.E.L.D. had dug Steve Rogers out of the ice, he had struggled to adapt to the pace of the era. He had been undergoing counseling at the Veterans Affairs Office ever since.
Before long, Steve Rogers found an excuse to leave the group therapy session. He stepped quietly out of the counseling room, saw Natasha waiting for him, and silently closed the door before speaking to her.
"Is there a new plan?"
"Come on. We're picking up your comrade." Natasha rose from the chair, took off her sunglasses, tucked them into her breast pocket, and headed down the corridor.
Steve Rogers's expression shifted slightly. He caught up to Natasha and walked beside her toward the exit, hesitating before he spoke.
"Tony..."
"Mm. He has strong objections, so your comrade can only come out to assist you in battle. After he gets a breath of fresh air, he'll have to go back and sit there." Natasha said calmly,
